Dingxi is located in the northwest of China, in the middle of Gansu Province, at the intersection of Loess Plateau, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and West Qinling Mountains, near Lanzhou City. It is a regional central city determined by Gansu Province, the core area of the national comprehensive experimental zone for the development of traditional Chinese medicine industry, and the first batch of regional potato breeding bases in China.
