El Nino in 2020
I. La Nina phenomenon
La Nina refers to the phenomenon that the sea surface temperature in the eastern and central equatorial Pacific of the earth continues to be abnormally cold in a large range. Usually accompanied by El Nino phenomenon, also known as? Anti-El Nino? . The formation of La Nina phenomenon will cause abnormal climate of the earth. It is a corrected transition phenomenon after El Nino. In most cases, La Nina occurs after El Ni? o, and it happens every few years. This hydrological feature will cause the water temperature in the eastern Pacific to drop, leading to drought, while the water temperature in the western Pacific will rise and there will be more rain.
The second is the influence of La Nina's anti-El Nino on the weather in China.
La Nina's anti-El Nino phenomenon affects some parts of our country in summer, which is characterized by high temperature and heat, sometimes drought and little rain, sometimes heavy rain constantly causes floods, and winter is extremely cold. As we all know, in the first half of 2020, China experienced high temperature, drought and little rain in May, June and July. In August and September of the second half of the year, strong winds and heavy rains caused floods. This is because La Nina phenomenon caused the abnormal formation of tropical high in the western Pacific and typhoon in the South China Sea. Among them, the highest temperature in Turpan, Xinjiang in summer is about 49 degrees, and the high temperature in China inland areas such as Chongqing, Nanjing, Wuhan, Nanchang, Changsha, Hangzhou and Baise is about 40 degrees. In addition, La Nina phenomenon also caused severe drought in some provinces of China from north to south. For example, the drought in Yunnan, Liaoning, Shanxi, Sichuan, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi and other provinces is more serious. La Nina's anti-El Nino phenomenon makes the weather in China very abnormal, resulting in frequent rainfall in Jiangnan, South China and Yangtze River basins in the summer of 2020, and serious floods in Dongting Lake and Panyang Lake. The water level of some rivers has exceeded the warning level for a long time, with heavy rainfall in Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan and other provinces, and floods in parts of North China and Northeast China.
So personally, it's getting colder and colder in winter because of La Nina's anti-El Nino phenomenon!
