Introduction of Yangzhou Geyuan Scenic Spot

Geyuan is located atNo. 10, Yanfu East Road, northeast corner of Guangling District, Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It has won the titles of the third batch of national key cultural relics protection units and the first batch of national key parks.

This private garden of Yangzhou Salt Merchants House in Qing Dynasty is famous for planting bamboo everywhere, and it won by rockery in spring, summer, autumn and winter. In the 23rd year of Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty (A.D. 18 18), Huang Zhijun, the general manager of salt industry in Huaibei, developed it into a residential garden on the basis of the original Shouzhi Garden in Ming Dynasty.

Main attraction

1, Qingyi Pavilion

Qingyi Pavilion is a small hexagonal pavilion, tall and dignified, which can capture the scenery of the whole garden. Around Qingyi Pavilion, there are many Taihu stones, and the outer side of Taihu stone is surrounded by a curved green water, so Qingyi Pavilion highlights its beauty under the heavy vault. 2. Series architecture

Just opposite Geyuan, south of Dongguan Street, is the former site of Xiaolinglong Mountain Hall of Ma Riwan and Ma Rilu, another major salt merchants in Yangzhou. The Xiaolinglong Mountain Hall is a series of buildings, and its collection is known as "the north and south of the river". Later, the salt transportation in Yangzhou declined, and the Majia family became increasingly depressed. Xiao Linglong Mountain Pavilion changed hands several times and was finally bought by Huang Zhijun. As a farewell hospital, it was destroyed by fire during the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom.
