Understand the geographical location and characteristics of Daming Mountain Scenic Area.

Daming Mountain is located in the northeast of Wuming County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, with a distance of Nanning 104 km and 2 10 National Road. The mountain extends from northwest to southeast, with a bird's eye view of 100 km and a width of 25 km. It is Duyang Mountain-Daming Mountain-Dayaoshan-Jiaqiaoling, which was named "Guangxi Arc" by famous geologists. Average elevation1200m. Longtou Mountain, the main peak, is located at the junction of Wuming and Shanglin counties in the middle of the mountain, with an altitude of 1760.4m and a relative altitude of 1563m, which is the highest peak in central Guangxi. Because the direction of the "golden arc" just meets the monsoon in the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean, there are obvious differences between the natural landscapes inside and outside. The outer edge of the "golden arc" is the windward slope of the ocean airflow, and the climate is humid and rainy, while the inner edge is the leeward slope with relatively little rain. The inner edge of the arc mountain range constitutes the central Guangxi basin with Liuzhou as the center; The outer edge of the arc mountain range constitutes Baise Basin, Nanning Basin, Yujiang Plain and Jiang Xun Plain, which are distributed along Youjiang, Yujiang and Jiang Xun. The average elevation of Daming Mountain is above 1200m, which belongs to alpine forest climate. In summer, the average temperature of Daming Mountain in July is 2 1℃, and the altitude below the mountain is about 200 meters, and the annual average temperature is about 2 1℃. On the mountain, it is only about 14℃. In midsummer, there is a high temperature of more than 30 degrees below the mountain, and it is still wet and cold on the mountain, generally only about 20 degrees. Due to the influence of the south subtropical wind and topography, the temperature on the mountain is 8 degrees-10 degrees lower than that on the mountain. According to the division of climatology, when the five-day average temperature is above 22℃, it is summer, so there is no real summer on Daming Mountain. In summer, the temperature in Nanning is extremely hot, the mountains are breezy and the world is cool. Cover yourself with a thin quilt when you sleep at night. Daming Mountain is an ideal summer resort in southern China. On June 6th, when Vice Premier Chen of the State Council visited Daming Mountain, he was full of praise for the summer climate here and instructed to build Daming Mountain into a summer resort like Lushan Mountain. From the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain, the climate and vegetation change vertically. The mountainous area has a tropical monsoon climate, and the mountainous area has changed into a subtropical monsoon climate and a temperate monsoon climate in turn. The four seasons in Daming Mountain are very different: in spring, flowers are in full bloom and colorful; In summer, it is foggy and rainy, and waterfalls fly; Autumn leaves are full of mountains, like sunset; It snows and freezes in winter, and it is wrapped in white. The charming scenery makes Daming Mountain known as "Lushan Mountain in Guangxi". Due to the special conditions of topography and climate, Daming Mountain in Guangxi has a large natural ecosystem, rich plant resources and various rare animals, which is a treasure house of rare animals and plants in Guangxi. There are three kinds of national first-class protected plants: Alsophila spinulosa, Pueraria lobata and Calyx. National second-class protected plants 16 species, such as white bean fir, Fokienia hodginsii, ornamental wood, horseshoe ginseng, bauhinia, etc. There are 9 species of national third-class protected plants, including Taxodium ascendens, Tsuga longibracteata, Castanopsis fissa and Stichopus japonicus, and 88 species are endemic. There are more than 30 endemic plants in Daming Mountain, many of which are tertiary relict plant, which is very valuable for studying the paleogeography here. There are three kinds of rare animals under national first-class protection: langur, leopard and python. There are 34 species of second-class protected animals, such as forest musk deer, Sumen antelope, black bear, pheasant and silver pheasant. There are 164 species of animals with economic value and scientific research value, 48 species of endangered animals in China and 83 species of protected animals at the district level in Guangxi. In addition, Daming Mountain is also the stopover place and the only way for migratory birds such as Eagle Family, Crake Family, Ericaceae Family, Scale-wing Family and Turmeric Family. It is an ideal place to study the migration route of migratory birds.

Daming Mountain, as the most valuable vegetation landscape in the National Forest Park, is mainly a tropical rainforest-type closed arbor forest and a mossy dwarf forest at the top of the mountain. The arbor forests in the valley are mainly distributed in the steep slopes of Gannan River and Chaoyanggou. The undergrowth vegetation of bryophytes at the top of the mountain is mainly distributed near the top of the mountain, about 1400 meters above.

In the lowest ditch of Daming Mountain, there is a strange thorn leaf valley. The terrain here is dangerous and deep. The tree ferns spinulosa and spinulosa spinulosa in the dinosaur era are widely distributed in the valley, with a total of tens of thousands of species. Among them, Alsophila spinulosa is a national first-class protected plant, which is extremely precious. There is a Alsophila spinulosa in the ditch with an altitude of 595 meters, a DBH of 37.2 cm and a trunk height of 9 meters, which is one of the largest Alsophila spinulosa trees in China.

The mossy undergrowth at the top of the mountain is blown by the strong mountain wind, forming a low, thick, short-stemmed, flat and inclined crown, just like a natural bonsai. Because of the high altitude, it is often shrouded in clouds and humidity, and green moss adheres to the branches of the trunk, becoming a unique moss dwarf forest on the top of the mountain, often accompanied by azaleas of various shrubs. Every spring, when the azaleas are in full bloom, this mountain becomes an ocean of flowers.

Daming Mountain used to be the habitat of rare animals such as tigers and crocodiles in South China in history. According to "Wuming County Records", "In the 22nd year of Guangxu, tigers were seriously affected in the county. According to statistics of Gewei, Lin Wei, Liutang and Matou Town, hundreds of people were killed or injured by tigers. It was not until the early liberation that the South China Tiger in Daming Mountain disappeared. Crocodiles disappeared in the Ming Dynasty. The uplift and fracture of Daming Mountain make Daming Mountain a magmatic active zone and produce many strange minerals. There are important copper mines, tungsten mines, uranium mines and vanadium mines. Among them, the rare vanadium pentoxide reserves rank first in China, and copper reserves account for one third of Guangxi. Rich copper deposits made Daming Mountain the earliest copper smelting base in Guangxi, which gave birth to the earliest bronze civilization of Zhuang nationality. According to legend, the ancients once unearthed a sword in the valley in front of Longtou Mountain, so Daming Mountain is also called Kongtong Mountain. Daming Mountain area is the most peculiar area of natural ecological resources and national historical and cultural resources in Guangxi, and it is truly the first strange mountain in Guangxi.

Daming Mountain is the water source of Wuming, Mashan, Shanglin and Binyang counties, and the sources of 33 major rivers in these four counties are all located in Daming Mountain. Dozens of large and small rivers originating from Daming Mountain have nurtured more than 2 million people around them, giving birth to the bright pearls of the south, such as Dalong Lake, Qingping Lake, Lingshui Lake and Luobo Lake. Due to the unique geographical location and geological structure, the water system originating from this mountain range presents many supernatural phenomena.

There is a mysterious gold belt in Matou Township and Liangjiang Town of Wuming County at the southern foot of Daming Mountain, which is a geological fault zone formed by Daming Mountain uplift, and the strike of the fault zone is generally consistent with Daming Mountain. The fault valley of Wei Lei-Liangjiawei-Hewei-Wharf is formed along the fault structural line, and the road from Wuming to Mamianshan extends along the fault valley. On both sides of the road, the common fault triangles are cut and twisted like magic, and the strata are arranged neatly like annual rings, which has become a unique geological landscape. Due to the intensification of magmatic activity in the fault zone, a gold-copper enrichment zone has been formed in this area. There are three forms of gold distribution here, one is vein gold, which is hidden in the deep stratum, the other is accumulated gold, which is distributed in the piedmont sediments, and the third is placer gold, which is distributed in the river gravel flowing out of Daming Mountain. It is no exaggeration to say that in the rivers around here, if you grab a handful of mud and sand and wash it, you will find tiny pieces of gold. The copper reserves here are also very rich, with proven reserves of 26 million tons, accounting for 30% of the proven reserves in Guangxi, and the metal amount is 270,000 tons. Generally speaking, ores contain 35-4% copper, and the highest copper content can reach 8- 10%. The strangest thing is that the copper mines here also contain gold and silver. The copper concentrate obtained from the processing of raw ore contains gold1.29g-3g and silver 374g-420g per ton. The piedmont fault valley on the southern slope of Daming Mountain is a veritable gold belt. Besides gold, silver and copper, this area is rich in mineral deposits, such as tungsten, antimony, lead, zinc, iron and manganese.
