Why is there no water in Zhanghe River now?

There is no water in Zhanghe River now, mainly because of the dry weather.

Zhanghe River is a tributary of Zhangweinan Canal in Haihe River Basin in northern China. Zhanghe River, called Zhangheng and Hengshui in ancient times, means that the migration of Zhanghe River in ancient times was impermanent and the temperature was not limited. Before the end of the Western Han Dynasty, Zhanghe belonged to the Yellow River system, and was later merged into the Haihe River system due to the southward migration of the Yellow River.

The upper reaches are composed of two rivers, one is Qingzhang River and the other is Zhangzhuo River, both of which originate from the hinterland of Taihang Mountain in the southeast of Shanxi Province (the administration belongs to Jinzhong and Changzhi in Shanxi Province). As a boundary river, the lower reaches divide the boundaries between Hebei and Henan provinces in sections, and join the Weihe River in Guantao County, Handan City, Hebei Province, known as Zhangweihe and Wei Yun Canal, and enter the South Canal of Haihe River system. Zhanghe River flows through 2 1 county and city in three provinces and four cities, with a length of about 400 kilometers and a drainage area of 1.82 million square kilometers.
