Where is Zhumadian?

Zhumadian, a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Henan Province. It is located in the south-central part of Henan Province, in the hilly plain area on the upper reaches of Huaihe River, on the third-class landform steps of China, and across the eastern edge of Nanyang Basin and Huaibei Plain. Zhumadian has a total area of 15086 square kilometers, governs 1 district, 9 counties, * * * 196 townships (street offices), and 287 1 villages (neighborhood committees).

Zhumadian is an excellent tourist city in China, a national civilized city, a national health city, a national forest city, a national double-support model city and a national garden city. The name Zhumadian was first seen in the Ming Dynasty. As an ancient town, it was built in the Tianshun period of the Ming Dynasty (1457- 1464), and then it belonged to Xiaqiubao in Queshan County. It is the core area of Pangu Genesis, the ancestor of Chinese humanity.

Zhumadian City is located in the transitional zone between subtropical zone and warm temperate zone, which has dual climatic characteristics of subtropical zone and warm temperate zone, and belongs to a typical continental monsoon semi-humid climate, with abundant sunshine, abundant heat, abundant rainfall, mild humidity and distinct four seasons. However, due to the particularity of geographical location, it is determined that the territory is prone to severe weather such as drought, heavy rain, local hail and tornado.

Queshan County, western suiping county and eastern Biyang County are shallow hills. Due to the influence of local climate, there are frequent flash floods and heavy rains. The eastern part of the territory is flat and low-lying, and floods are prone to occur when precipitation is concentrated.
