Namco? (Elevation: 47 18m): Located in the middle of Xizang Autonomous Region, it is the second largest lake in Tibet and the third largest saltwater lake in China. The elevation of the lake is 4718m, which is approximately rectangular, with a length of more than 70km from east to west and a width of more than 30km from north to south, with an area of1920km2. The maximum depth of Namco is 33 meters, but the retest of the lake in recent two years shows that the maximum depth of Namco exceeds 120 meters. With a storage capacity of 76.8 billion cubic meters, it is the largest lake with the highest altitude in the world. "Namco" is Tibetan and Mongolian called "Tengger Caspian Sea", both of which mean "Tianhu". Namco is one of the "three sacred lakes" in Tibet. Namtso is the first holy lake of ancient elephants, male buddhas, Buddhism and Chinese religion, and it is one of the famous Buddhist holy places.
Geographical location of Namco: Namco is located between 30 30 ′ and 30 35 ′ north latitude and 9016 ′ and 913 ′ east longitude. Located in the southeast of northern Tibet Plateau, in the middle of Xizang Autonomous Region, on the northwest border of Lhasa, it connects Dangxiong County in the north and Bango County in the southeast border of Naqu area in the south, 240 kilometers away from Lhasa. About three-fifths of the lakes are in Bango County, Naqu District, and two-fifths are in Dangxiong County, Lhasa City. Namco is located about100km south of Lhasa. To the south and east of Namco Lake are the steep Gangdise Mountain and the majestic Nyainqentanglha Mountain, and to the north is the hilly plateau of northern Tibet. The whole area forms a relatively closed inflow area.
Namco climate: Namco is a semi-humid and semi-arid transitional zone with abundant light, heat and water resources and low air pressure. The air density measured by Dangxiong Bango is 0.73kg/m3, the annual total radiation is about 7000 MJ/m2, the annual sunshine hours are about 3000 hours, the annual sunshine rate is over 65%, and the rainy season and dry season are distinct, from June to 65438 every year.

Strong winds often appear in the afternoon and evening of a day, especially on the sea of Namco. The dominant wind direction in Namco is southwest wind.
