1, pay attention to ventilation. At least one side of the container is 2.5 times the length of the lizard. If you want to use a sealed glass box or cylinder, you should set a ventilation hole next to it.

2. Pay attention to heating and lighting. Generally, incandescent lamps are placed in the corner of the box, which can create a temperature gradient environment in the box. The temperature in the box is generally kept above 30 degrees Celsius. Because lizards prefer heat to cold, high temperature can ensure their normal digestive function.

The key is to fully expose lizards to ultraviolet rays. Because they need ultraviolet radiation to synthesize vitamin D3 in the skin, it helps to promote the absorption of calcium and reduce the chance of death due to rickets, commonly known as "rickets" or "rickets". So it is helpful to let them get more sunshine.

4. Feed properly according to different varieties. Edible plant species, such as skink, American iguana and waterspout, can be fed with vegetables and fruits. Little lizards can feed crickets. If swallowed, newborn rats have the highest nutritional value. In addition, you can also feed meat, liver, cat food, insects, earthworms and so on.

Although lizards need to bask in the sun, sunbathing often leads to excessive temperature in cages, and sunbathing every day will be harmful to health. The best way is to use solar lamps and ultraviolet lamps for lighting and occasionally bask in the sun. For lizards, ultraviolet rays are as indispensable as food and drinking water. Every day from morning till night, it is irradiated with solar light for about 12 hours, and the complete effect can be achieved. The intensity of ultraviolet lamp is much stronger than that of solar lamp. Too strong ultraviolet rays are harmful to animals, and there is a risk of sunburn and blindness. You can irradiate 10-20 minutes every day.

Lizards can be kept in fish tanks, the bottom of which is white sea sand. In hot days, you can put a basin for them to drink and take a bath to cool down. When the temperature is 10-20 degrees, put a piece of cloth in the jar and let it climb on it. Cover it with a cloth to keep warm at night. The cloth used should be pure cotton.

Water feeding method: people sit on a chair, put it on their legs, and gently pour the lizard's head into the water with their fingers (the water container should be a shallow bowl). If its cheeks squirm, it is regarded as drinking water; If the lizard struggles with its head up, it means that it is not wet and does not need to be fed water immediately.
