1, driving in fog is double flashing.

According to Article 58 of the Road Traffic Safety Law:

"

When a motor vehicle runs at night without street lamps, poor lighting or in case of fog, rain, snow, dust, hail and other low visibility conditions, it should turn on the headlights, position lights and rear position lights. However, when the rear car driving in the same direction is driving close to the front car, it is not allowed to use the high beam. Motor vehicles should turn on fog lights and danger warning flashlights when driving in foggy days.

This provision is rather general. It says "low visibility in fog, rain, snow, etc.", but it doesn't say "double flash" at this time. But the last sentence, "Driving in fog requires double flashing". Yi Jie understood that the "foggy day" here should be more severe bad weather than the fog and rain in front.

2. When the visibility is less than100m/50m, double flashing is required.

According to article 8 1 of the road traffic safety law

"

When a motor vehicle runs on an expressway, it shall comply with the following provisions in case of low visibility meteorological conditions such as fog, rain, snow, dust and hail:

(a) when the visibility is less than 200 meters, turn on the fog lights, low beam lights, position lights and front and rear position lights, the speed shall not exceed 60 kilometers per hour, and keep a distance of more than 100 meters from the vehicle in front of the same lane;

(2) When the visibility is less than 100 meters, turn on fog lights, low beam lights, position lights, front and rear position lights and hazard warning flashlights, the speed shall not exceed 40 kilometers per hour, and keep a distance of more than 50 meters from the vehicle in front of the same lane;

(3) When the visibility is less than 50 meters, turn on fog lights, low beam lights, position lights, front and rear position lights and hazard warning flashlights, and the speed shall not exceed 20 kilometers per hour, and leave the expressway from the nearest exit as soon as possible.

In other words, the legal answer to the question "Can double flashing be turned on in rainy and foggy days" is: Yes. In bad weather such as rainy and foggy weather and low visibility, it is not illegal to use double flashing.

This is different from the common sense of many car owners: only when the car breaks down can you turn on the double flash.

Other situations that require double flashing.

1, double flashing is on for road construction.

Thirty-fifth highway maintenance construction units should set up standardized safety warning signs and safety protection facilities in accordance with the provisions when maintaining highways. Vehicles and machinery used in road maintenance construction should be equipped with warning lights and sprayed with obvious logo patterns, and the warning lights and hazard warning flashlights should be turned on during operation. The traffic administrative department of the public security organ shall strengthen the supervision and inspection of the traffic safety of the construction road without interrupting the traffic. 2, a fault or traffic accident, it is difficult to move to open the double flash.

3. When towing a trailer, both the tractor and the towed vehicle should turn on the double flashing lights.
