What is El Nino weather?
El Nino phenomenon, under normal circumstances, the equatorial warm current is from east to west. El Nino phenomenon occurs because the equatorial trade wind is abnormal, so it slows down or reverses the equatorial warm current. Due to abnormal ocean currents, the global climate is abnormal, especially in countries along the Pacific Ocean.
El Nino is a global climate anomaly, which usually lasts for more than three months. The abnormal change of seawater temperature in tropical Pacific makes the global monsoon abnormal, which in turn leads to extreme weather. El Nino event is a climatic phenomenon caused by the imbalance between ocean and atmosphere in the equatorial belt of the Pacific Ocean.
Simply put, the large-scale sea water warming in the equatorial belt of the Pacific Ocean heats the air above the sea surface, and the air is heated, which affects the global heat balance, thus causing abnormal weather in many parts of the world. "El Nino" is unpredictable, with different duration, which is extremely harmful to human beings.
The generation and characteristics of El Nino phenomenon;
El Nino usually occurs every two to seven years. The main reason is the abnormal rise of seawater temperature in the equatorial eastern Pacific, which leads to the change of atmospheric circulation. This abnormal temperature rise usually comes from the long-term convection of seawater in the equatorial western Pacific Ocean and the accumulation of heat energy caused by the rise of warm and humid air.
El Nino phenomenon is characterized by rising sea surface temperature in the equatorial eastern Pacific Ocean, accompanied by strong winds warming, increasing rainfall and changing wind direction and wind speed. In addition, El Ni? o will also have a wide and important impact on the global climate system, including marine ecosystems, agricultural production and weather events.
