What weather should we pay attention to in the autumn when the wind is cooling, rain and snow are coming and the weather is changeable?

In autumn, wind, cold, rain and snow hit, and the weather is changeable, so we need to pay attention to fog, first frost, autumn rain, cold wave and dust.

Fog is the most common, and it is easy to form precipitation when cold and warm air meet in autumn, which leads to high humidity on the ground. At night, the temperature near the surface layer is obviously reduced, and it is easy to fog at night or in the morning when it encounters high humidity.

For crops, the first frost is an important weather factor, so the weather forecast often indicates the time and place of the first frost.

In autumn rain, the most famous "Huaxi Autumn Rain" will have a certain impact on traffic and crop growth. In the impression of most people, cold waves often occur in winter, but in fact, cold waves also occur in autumn. When the severe cooling is accompanied by strong winds or even rain and snow, that is, when the cold wave comes.

If cold air activities are frequent, it will also bring dusty weather. Northeastern cold vortex, Mongolian cyclone and other northerly cyclone winds will cause sand blowing when they encounter exposed dust sources, and then transport them downstream to form dust weather.

The general characteristics of autumn

Traditionally, China takes "beginning of autumn" in 24 solar terms as the starting point of autumn. The word "autumn" consists of the word "grain" and the word "fire", indicating the maturity of the five grains. After entering autumn, in nature, everything begins to mature from lush. Its climate began to change from rainy and humid in summer to dry and rainy in autumn.

The four seasons in China are often divided according to the change of temperature, using the "average temperature" of modern scholar Zhang Baokun. According to the weather average temperature method, there are two main criteria to judge autumn. First, the average daily temperature for five consecutive days 10℃-22℃ can be regarded as autumn and become a "short mark"; Second, the moving average temperature of five consecutive groups is lower than 22℃.

A set of moving average temperatures refers to the average temperature of the day plus the average temperature of the previous four days divided by 5 to get the moving average temperature of five days, which is a "sliding scale". Autumn divided by temperature means cool weather.
