Travel Notes: Visiting Yangming Cave

In early spring, I went to Zhang Shuai's mansion in Shenyang. In the memorial hall, there is a photo of Zhang Xueliang who once lived in Yangming Cave. The words "Mr. Yangming's legacy" on the cave are quite conspicuous, and I was lost in thought for a long time in front of the photo.

Visiting Yangming Cave on the spot is another feeling.

"There is no sunny day for three days, and the ground is not three feet flat." Guiyang has high local vegetation coverage, humid air, rainy weather and cool climate, which is a good place for summer vacation.

Just in time for a sunny day, I took a bus to Xiuwen County, where the mountains and rivers were beautiful and lush. Xiuwen County is about 30 kilometers away from Guiyang City. Because of the slow driving speed, it takes about one hour to reach Xiuwen County.

The county seat is very small, and many buildings are built on the mountain. You can walk about1500m after getting off. When we arrive at Yangming Cultural Park, Yangming Cave is in the park. This garden was built by modern people, and the gate is magnificent. There are four characters of "knowing and doing in one" at the main entrance, and Yangming Memorial Hall is on the right side of the main entrance.

When I entered the garden, few people came here to visit. After walking for a while, I met a woman with a child and went outside. I didn't know that Yangming cave was on the back of the mountain until I asked.

Looking in the direction indicated, the garden is still deserted.

In front of me is a fan-shaped mountain with towering old trees. I am even more excited to climb up the stairs and approach the cave. There are dense bamboo forests near the stone steps. Looking inside, the trees are staggered and the roots are covered with thick moss.

Walking up, the sun around the mountain, the first thing you see is "He Louxuan". The room that the local people spontaneously built for Yangming originated from the meaning of "where there is a building". Go ahead for about a few hundred steps, and the middle of the mountain is Yangming Cave. The hole is covered with moss and vines. The cave is about dozens of steps deep, more than ten steps wide and a little more than one person in height. The walls are made of stone latex. The entrance is very wide, and it gets narrower as you go in. The sound of dripping water in the cave is constant, and the feet gather into a stream. At this point, there was no one in the cave, only the sound of dripping seemed to remind the passage of time.

Above the cave, there is a book "Love of Mr. Yangming" written by Anguo, the ambassador of Xuanwei, Guizhou Province during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. Although the colors of several Chinese characters have faded, they can still be vaguely distinguished. There are inscriptions on the side and top of the cave, which were left by people who came here to look for them. The earliest inscription was in the Wanli period, and there were inscriptions in all previous dynasties.

Looking out from the cave, the mountains in the distance are continuous and lush, and there is a water area nearby, and the vision is very broad. Longchang was a wasteland at that time, and few foreigners came here except the local ethnic minorities. Yangming was demoted to Longchang, when the environment was bad, the miasma was serious and the language was unreasonable. All these difficulties were overcome by Yang Ming.

How hard was the environment then? After Yang Ming arrived at the Dragon Farm, suddenly one day, three people who came from Beijing to work here, with a son and a servant, lived in a post station not far away. Yang Ming wants to know about the recent situation in Beijing, but he can't see them. Three people died in succession on centipede slope. Although Yang Ming didn't know these three people, he couldn't bear to leave their bodies in the wild, carry tools and bury them, and wrote A Journey.

"You and I are both products of Middle-earth. I don't know your county. What is your reason for wanting this mountain? The ancients did not travel more than a thousand miles when they returned home. I'm a refugee, so it's appropriate. What's wrong with your official eyes and ears? They can't afford five fights, and you can still lead your wife to plow the fields. Why do you feel like you're seven feet five fights? That's not enough, but it's good for your son and servant? Hey! " .

Wan left for a small salary and died in another country. Although Yangming was unknown to him, his eulogy was really touching, and the death of the mourners just confirmed the desolation of being demoted.

From such an incident, it is enough to see the harsh environment and the difficulty of survival at that time. Yangming is in a cave, often immersed in thinking. One night, I suddenly sat up in shock, with a scream in my mouth and an epiphany. Yangming realized that "the sage's way, I am self-sufficient, and those who seek truth from facts make mistakes", which was called "Dragon Field Realizing the Way" by later generations. Yangming's mind is like a star in the night sky, shining on future generations. There is such a couplet on the door of Wang Wencheng Gongci, "Stay late for three years, and enjoy three holes deeply;" After a night of awakening, Wei is all-rounder. "

Yangming founded Longgang Academy in Longchang, constantly giving lectures, spreading his thoughts, and gradually perfecting his thoughts in lectures and discussions, which went through three stages: "mind is reason", "unity of knowledge and action" and "to conscience", thus forming the philosophical system of Yangming's mind. Yangming's disciples were all over the society, and ministers in high positions in Ming and Qing Dynasties were all disciples of Yangming or successors of Yangming's thought, and countless of them.

The far-reaching influence of Yangming's theory of mind lies in perfecting and developing a complete personality theory, which is aimed at people's minds. This can be read in Biography and Yangming's poems, such as "When you are silent and ignorant, this is the root of everything." Throw away your endless hiding and take the bowl along the door to help the poor. "

The most touching thing is that after putting down the rebellion in Wang Ning and saving Daming Mountain, Yangming has always had the idea of retiring. However, he was heavily involved in official business, and for the benefit of the people and the security of the country, he dealt with bandits in the south and swept away bandits who had been entrenched for many years. Wherever Yang Ming goes, he is always looking for a place where he can live in seclusion and give lectures. From Yangming's poems, he can read, "Anyone who has mountains and rivers has a heart of divination. At the end of the year, when is the sea? The cold spring in the cave drips fine, and the flowers are deep in the stone house. Qingbi must keep his surname, so he is easy to find. "

Yangming is still on the run in his later years. When he was seriously ill, he repeatedly asked the court for leave to return to China and was not allowed. Finally, he learned that there were not many days left, so he went home by himself and died on his way home, leaving only local disciples around him. When the disciple asked Yang Ming what his last words were, Yang Ming said this: "My heart is bright, what can my husband say?" . The life of a sage is naturally a life of constant pursuit and improvement, as well as a life of struggle against all kinds of hardships and setbacks.

The two tall cypress trees in front of Yangming Cave were planted by Yangming himself when he first arrived in Longchang. After a hundred years of wind and rain, now several people embrace each other and are gloomy.

Standing here, stroking one of the big trees with your hand, it's hard to calm your mind. An ordinary person, after falling behind the times, making mistakes, even all kinds of dangers and slanders, plus his own illness, has been constantly pursuing and exploring himself, constantly perfecting himself, becoming a master of Confucianism and carrying it forward.

After visiting Yangming Cave, I returned to Guiyang city in the evening. In the flower orchard community, there is a small white house, which is extremely luxurious and is the private residence of a local private entrepreneur. It is said that it cost hundreds of millions of yuan to build it. In front of the white house is a piece of water, and the space is very open. The Flower Orchard Community is known as the largest community in Asia, with more than 500,000 people living in this community. There are many tall buildings and people coming and going, which can be described as bustling.

Yangming Cave during the day is in sharp contrast with the White House at night. After living in a cave for three years, Yangming realized the theory of conscience, which is glorious through the ages and few people come here to look for it. In the small white house by the water, it is luxurious and luxurious, and tourists are woven. We can also imagine that no matter how rich the material is, it can only be a man-made natural landscape without the support of ideological and cultural background. For all mankind, nothing is more meaningful and valuable than cultural or spiritual achievements.

I can't help thinking that true happiness is spiritual self-sufficiency, and the greater significance and value of life is also in the spiritual level, which can be seen everywhere in Yangming's mind.
