Why are there no fish in Miyun Reservoir this year?

Fish in Miyun Reservoir is one of the specialties of Miyun Reservoir in Beijing. The fishing season of Miyun Reservoir is from September 25th to March the following year, during which a large number of fresh fish will be caught ashore. Due to the drought of Miyun Reservoir in Beijing in 2023, the water level of the reservoir was insufficient, which led to abnormal fish growth. There are no fish this year.

Miyun Reservoir is located at 13km north of Miyun District, Beijing, and in the hilly area of Yanshan Mountains. It was completed in September 1960.
