Fourthly, the significance of converting and amending the law.
If you want enlightenment and liberation, you can only achieve it when you get a foundation to provide practice, and this foundation is conversion. If you want to learn Buddhism, you must convert. Transformation is very important. After you converted, you really became a Buddhist disciple, a disciple of Master Kong, and also a practitioner. Therefore, we must know the importance of conversion and understand the merits of conversion. Speaking of the merits of conversion, even the cleverest Manjusri Bodhisattva is inexhaustible. Because the merits of conversion are too great. If you don't convert, you can't learn 84 thousand dharma. Just like a tall building, you can't enter the door. Conversion is the key to open all the doors of Buddhism.
Simply put, it is like this: the cause of doing good things before conversion is reincarnation. If a good thing is extremely successful, it will fall in heaven; Then Ashura Road, and finally human nature, these three realms are relatively happy. If doing bad things falls into three evil ways, all beings have done bad things and it is easy to fall into evil ways. Before you converted, you were in reincarnation. Samsara has no beginning and no end. The karma of the previous life is brought to this life, and the karma of this life is brought to the next life. However, if we realize this, we will be free from a cycle that has no beginning and no end. For example, Sakyamuni Buddha, Manjusri Bodhisattva and Guanyin Bodhisattva were all ordinary people like us a long time ago. When I met a good King Kong guru, I converted to the guru and the Sambo method, and all my karma was cleared, and I broke away from reincarnation and became a Buddha. If we start to convert now and then practice, we can also get rid of it and go to the western paradise.
Generally speaking, in the wheel of karma, the existence of the six great divisions who have not converted to all beings is like dreaming. For example, we had a dream last night and woke up to find that it was all false. But we have the blessing and the Buddha's fate. In this life, we will convert people to Buddhism. It's like a person who is sick and wants to see a doctor. Now, we have the most serious disease. What's the disease? It is karma that we have never had-greed and ignorance. If we want to treat diseases, we must find the best doctors. In other words, we must rely on a very successful fundamental guru, rely on the blessing of the three treasures, and practice hard to cure the karma of greed and ignorance.
Before we converted, chanting scriptures and mantras had great merits, but they were not the seeds of real liberation, but the merits of reincarnation. You see, in this world, some people don't know how to learn Buddhism and cause and effect, but they are very happy, rich and have become big officials. These are the fruits of their merits when they didn't convert or develop bodhicitta, and these merits all fall into samsara. Everyone envies such a life, but you should know that he will die and suffer in reincarnation. There is no conversion, no bodhicitta. Although I have done a lot of merits, good deeds and happiness, this fruit still falls into reincarnation, and there is no way to escape and live in the western paradise. After conversion, we do good deeds and practice, which becomes the merit of extricating from reincarnation. All merits and deeds have become the seeds and methods of liberation, and they can also be said to be the methods to eliminate all our greed and ignorance.
So conversion is the right thing to do. As disciples of Buddhism, we just want to get rid of ourselves and go to the western paradise, which is the pure land of Wujin. This is the most important and basic work. To get rid of it, we must practice, cultivate our own hearts and eliminate our greed and ignorance. How to eliminate it? Is it possible to eliminate greed and ignorance by secular methods? Not at all. All the laws in the world are the products of greed and ignorance. It is absolutely impossible to eliminate greed and ignorance with greed and ignorance. For example, washing clothes with dirty water is not clean, and water must be used. So we must learn Buddhism. The 84,000 laws of Buddhism are aimed at curing greed and ignorance, and are used to get rid of all troubles and pains. Only Buddhism, there is no second way to eliminate. But if you want to learn Buddhism, you must convert. You can't learn 84,000 Dharmas without conversion, because you are not a Buddhist disciple or a true practitioner. We must first understand the significance and practice methods of converting to Buddhism, and then we will soon be freed from practice.
Facing the cycle of suffering, there are countless disasters, fears and pains. We want to get rid of them, and we can't do anything by ourselves. After all, my own strength is too weak, because the root of reincarnation is the three poisons. It is impossible for us to get rid of the world's high officials, rich people or immortals, because they are reincarnated beings themselves and are still suffering from reincarnation. How can I bring you happiness? Therefore, we must convert to Sambo and get guidance and shelter. As Master Gampopa said, "What kind of person can cultivate such bodhicitta? The first is to be full of Mahayana, the second is to convert to the Three Treasures, and the third is to accept seven people (note: seven people refer to monks, Misha, Misha, Youposai (male layperson) and Youpoyi (female layperson)). Conversion is the foundation of all Buddhist trees and runs through Mahayana Buddhism. " If you don't convert, you will do everything that has no foundation like building a skyscraper, such as keeping precepts, confessing, accumulating money and grain, and being self-motivated. Therefore, at the beginning of learning Buddhism, you must first accept conversion from a qualified guru to be a real Buddhist. In the true sense, conversion is the highest law. Once upon a time, a Lama went to the venerable person in Adi Gorge to seek dharma. The venerable master asked him what Buddhism he had studied in the past. The Lama replied, "Nothing, just a small conversion method." The venerable Adi Gorge said, "If you think the conversion is very small, then I have no higher way to pass it on to you."
Master Lotus Peanut once said, "People in Jaken don't know how to convert to all Buddhism."
Conversion is a kind of determination, the purpose is to rely on the guru's three treasures to make all beings become Buddhas.
Prayer and conversion is a compulsory content every day and the cornerstone of the road to practice. If we don't have sincere faith in the guru Sambo, we can't continue on the road to becoming a Buddha. If you don't convert to Hinayana, Mahayana or Vajrayana, it is a serious mistake. Therefore, we should sincerely pray every day, strengthen our desire to convert, and imagine that all pain, danger and fear will be eliminated with the blessing of the guru Sambo.
In the past, there was a great Kampo in Tibet, and devout believers provided him with a lot of belongings, but he had given up his attachment to the secular world and put these belongings around casually. A thief sneaked into his Buddhist temple and stole a lot of things. Kampo's wisdom realized this. He caught the thief red-handed and decided to eliminate karma for the guilty thief. Kampo grabbed the thief by the back of the neck in one hand and hit the thief on the head with a scripture in the other, and repeatedly recited the conversion mantra, "South Golubei, South Buda, South Moda, South Sangha." Other than that, I won't say anything else. After such a period of time, he let the thief go. Looking at the thief's fleeing back, Kampo prayed for him: "I have completely given up all the greed in the world, and I hope you can give up all the evil deeds."
That night, the thief spent the night under a bridge He thought of the damage to his personality and self-esteem during the day, and his resentment was hard to calm down. He couldn't sleep for a long time. In the middle of the night, half asleep, he found that terrible demons were preparing to attack him everywhere. He's scared! My mind is blank and I can't do anything. Suddenly, the conversion mantra read by Kampo during the day flashed through his mind, and he immediately shouted: "There is no guru in the south, no Budaya in the south, no Damoya in the south, and no Sangaya in the south." He prayed loudly as if he had grabbed a lifeline, and he was surprised to find that the demons around him were constantly fleeing under the power of the transformation spell.
From then on, he had unshakable confidence in Kampo and Buddhism, and later became an excellent disciple of Kampo. Of course, the conversion mantra has also become his main practice project. Telling this story is to let us know that relying on piety and conversion to the guru's three treasures will definitely eliminate bad karma, subdue evil forces and bring happiness and purity to our body and mind.
Yi Xi Tsuojia, the dakini, once asked Master Lian about the key points of conversion. Master Lian personally announced all the details of the conversion, and then the Buddha mother recorded and hid it for the benefit of future generations. This method was later opened and spread by successful people who became lotus masters. Among them, the types, significance, methods and advantages of transformation are expounded in detail. No matter what sect or guru says about conversion, it must be consistent with it, because Master Lian is the total embodiment of the ten Buddhas in the third world, and the Buddhism he said is what the Buddhas said.
Second, the significance of transformation
Conversion is three times * * *, but tantric has a deeper understanding of conversion, so it is also listed as one of the "no * * *" bonuses. We should not only convert to Buddhism in form and procedure, but also take conversion as a method of practice, so as to deepen our desire and confidence to rely on the three treasures of the guru. In order to deepen our understanding of conversion,
Conversion is divided into external conversion, internal conversion and secret conversion. External conversion is Buddhist conversion, and there is a difference between internal conversion and secret conversion. Internal conversion is Mahayana conversion, while secret conversion is alien conversion. These four conversion ode sum up the external, internal and secret conversion, which are very skillful and unique!
External conversion
The object of our conversion is Sambo. In the sense of external transformation, it can be divided into causal transformation and causal transformation. This is a triple concept.
Because conversion is the three treasures of conversion to the outside world, Buddha is the awakened one who proves the Tao, the one who becomes a Tao, the one who completes merits and cleanses all other thoughts, including dharma body, body report and Tao becoming a flesh. All buddhas and bodhisattvas can worship and must worship. Why? We need blessing and wisdom very much, and the merits of worshipping Buddha can increase your wisdom and blessing. As Buddhists, when we go to any temple, no matter Hinayana, Xianzong or Tantric, we must have a respectful heart, worship Buddha and Bodhisattva with our bodies and mouths, bow down, burn incense and offer lanterns. This is all to increase their blessings. This is what you should do after you convert to Buddhism.
Buddhism is a method known to the first-awakened person at the level of the Bodhisattva, that is, eliminating the truth and the truth (note: the four noble truths are suffering, gathering, eliminating and following the Tao).
Conversion is a method of practice pointed out by the Buddha to verify the reality of all beings-there are 84 thousand methods, and you have all converted. I have been to many places and met many people, those who study Buddhism and those who don't, those who do well and those who don't. There are hundreds of monks in my temple, including Arihoshi, a living Buddha and a Lama, and they have also come into contact with a lot. Some people, especially those who study Buddhism, often think: "You are a Puritan and I am a Zen; You are a secret rider, and I am a Hinayana rider ... "This and that separation is very bad. Because there is no difference between Buddhism and Buddhism-both are ways of liberation. The blessings of all beings are gradually decreasing, so Buddhism is also gradually declining, and it has reached the end of the Buddhist era. People who study Buddhism should unite to help all sentient beings and make them happy. As long as Buddhism is in the Buddhist world, it can be said that all living beings can be happy. Therefore, we should unite and practice Buddhism well, so that Buddhism will become more and more prosperous and all beings will become more and more happy. So, let's not separate. We have all converted to Buddhism, that is, all Buddhism has been converted, no matter what kind of Buddhism we practice, it is the Buddha's Buddhism. Be sure to cultivate your own heart, the true Buddha's heart;
Monks have two meanings. One refers to people who practice Buddhism, arhat, or sages above bodhisattva are monks. Strictly speaking, the monks we converted to should be more than the first bodhisattva, and have reached the status of Taoism (note: seeing Taoism refers to the third level in the five steps of Taoism becoming a Buddha. The five ways are: first, the way to provide food; Second, the way to add food; Third, the way to see; Fourth, the way of training; Fifth, the way not to learn. ) holy monk, because he has been freed from reincarnation and has the ability to be a refuge for all beings; The other refers to a clean monk group composed of more than four people who have received sufficient precepts. The Buddha said that the merits and demerits of the four harmonious monks in practicing dharma are equal to those of the King of Chu and the Bodhisattva, so they are also the objects of conversion. Monks are also our companions on the road to practice.
And the fruit conversion can also be said to be for the purpose of conversion, which is "true and easy to die." In order to achieve this conversion, we started from the standpoint of cause, and finally wanted to find or get the fruit of Dharma and Buddha-this is what we seek internally. It is difficult for us to understand at present.
Secret conversion
Secret conversion is a non-conversion method in Vajrayana, which is based on qi, pulse and lightness, and is a practical conversion. Secret conversion is a conversion without asking for anything, which verifies the Buddha's nature from the heart and converts directly. It can also be said that you have converted to Qi, pulse and enlightenment. All beings have qi, pulse and light. Birds in the sky, animals on the earth, all sentient beings have wind, and every sentient being has veins and bright spots in them. Qi, pulse and lightness are the true embodiment, report and dharma, so they are directly transformed into pulse, qi and lightness.
Pulse condition is the foundation of the body, which can be divided into black pulse and white pulse. Black pulse refers to blood vessels, nervous system, etc. The white veins are invisible to the naked eye, such as the middle vein and the red, white and bodhi veins on both sides. Killing, stealing and fornication are all made by the body, so the karma of the pulse is purified, which is the embodiment of the Buddha and represents the treasure of the monks. Qi is divided into wisdom qi and karma qi, and qi is the basis of language. Four kinds of karma, that is, lying, two tongues, bad mouth and strange words, are all created by mouth, thus clearing the troubles of karma and showing wisdom, that is, achieving the Buddha's position and representing a magic weapon. To be clear, roughly speaking, it refers to the essence of the human body, such as male sperm and female eggs, which are subtly dependent on meaning. Three karma obstacles, greed, anger and infatuation, can be removed through cleansing, that is, reaching the Buddha position of Dharma Body and representing Buddha treasure. He is the ultimate refuge-everything has wisdom and awareness, which is called "pure bodhicitta" in the French version of the ode to conversion, but it does not refer to altruistic bodhicitta, but to the original pure emptiness or dzogchen.
The three treasures, the three fundamentals, qi, pulse, purity and dharma are all integrated. The relationship between the three is like the sun, sunshine and the warmth brought by sunshine. It can be said that nature is "emptiness", whether it is dharma Buddha, guru or Buddha treasure; The self-nature revealed from this practicality is "light", which is a magic weapon to repay Buddha and God. Then compassion is the incarnation of Buddha, an empty walk or a monk. This is a secret transformation, which is also called a victory transformation.
Third, the transformation of practical practice methods
4. Recite for 100,000 times and worship at the same time (that is, kowtow). Through the combination of worship and conversion, this trip was conveniently established. After completing 100,000 conversions, you have completed 100,000 worships, or you have completed two trips at the same time.
When we worship, we should have this idea in our hearts: we will reincarnate all living beings from generation to generation, and wholeheartedly rely on the guru's three treasures to support them, no matter whether they are bitter or happy, and we will not ask for any help. Born in my heart, it is these firm piety that can make my hair stand on end, tears gush, and hold three doors as one.
When worshipping, the lotus hands are folded, and the palms are like lotus flowers in bud. Cross your hands respectfully, indicating that the lotus is used to support the three treasures. Touch your forehead, throat and heart respectively, then kneel down and push your hands forward respectively, so that you can worship Buddha and pray for the three treasures, and at the same time visualize the elimination of physical and mental karma and go underground.
The first purpose of worship is to reduce your karma and eliminate the bad karma of body, mouth and heart. Especially for arrogant habits, it is highly targeted and can increase confidence and respect for the guru's three treasures. Secondly, you can increase the blessing, because kowtowing itself is also a kind of support, and it is the monk who vows to convert and support the guru with his body and mind. In addition, it can vibrate the pulse and open the pulse knot, which can be easily felt when repairing the pulse, and at the same time achieve the effect of strengthening the body. Some people think that we practitioners should practice and worship behind closed doors. This understanding is wrong, not at all. Everyone should know that worship is used to increase their wisdom and compassion. What is the reason why we have no wisdom and compassion? It is because the karma of greed and ignorance is too deep, so there is no wisdom and no compassion. Originally, our nature is Buddha, the most perfect wisdom and compassion, but our greed and ignorance cover up compassion and wisdom. Therefore, in order to eliminate these karma and show our wisdom and compassion, we must practice asceticism.
From the beginning, our greed was very bitter. For example, doing business is very hard, but you have to do it no matter how hard it is; It's hard to go to work, but you have to go to work. From the beginning, we made great efforts to do greedy work. This karma is too deep. If you want to eliminate the karma of greed and ignorance, you must suffer and practice hard. Do you know that?/You know what? Prayer can also be said to be a kind of asceticism, which is hard, but don't be afraid, you must practice. I am an ascetic myself. I used to knock four or five thousand heads a day when I was building five more lines. Wujiahang also repaired it six times. From the beginning, all the bad things were done with your own body and mind. Worship and conversion are only a very good way to eliminate physical and mental karma.
Worship is not the need of guru Sambo. Whether you bow down or not has no profit or loss for the guru himself, nor is it for others to see, let others affirm you and praise you as a devout Buddhist.
In our Tibetan area, there are many true practitioners who, with unshakable devotion to the Three Treasures, spend three to five years or even longer in front of the siddhattha gotama in the Jokhang Temple in Lhasa. (pictured) Because of their strong self-confidence, their karma has been greatly reduced along the way, so that some people immediately realized that they were bodhisattvas when they arrived at their destinations!
We should not be superstitious. Everyone should know the meaning of worshipping Buddha and learn to worship Buddha. I don't know, going to worship Buddha becomes superstition. The most important thing for a Buddhist is to cultivate his own mind, and superficial things are not very important. Without self-cultivation and self-cultivation, the mind is prone to confusion. If there is no place or inconvenience at home, you can worship in your own bed. The visual transformation is your own altar city and Buddhist temple. It's hot in the south, so I won't stipulate how much you worship in summer, but you must worship in winter, and hundreds will do. If older people can't stand it, people under 50 must practice. People are very busy now, and there are many things. Some lay people also take 500 big heads a day, depending on your determination. If you have the determination, you can do it completely, and you won't say that you don't have time. Take a hundred thousand big heads and read a hundred thousand times the ode to refuge at the same time. People who practice at home can't spend a lot of time in worship every day. You have to know how to do it, worship 108 or 200 or 300 a day. Stick to it every day, day after day, and it will be completed in a year or so.
I have met many successful people, and they are the best examples of great worship. I began to worship at a very young age. It is a habit to worship two or three thousand times a day, as always, for decades. He is so successful that he still insists on practicing worship every day. In fact, he wants to tell the world that conversion and worship are such extraordinary methods that no one should despise them.
