Language barrier reduces the efficiency and speed of rescue and treatment.

As a non-profit organization, high-altitude rescue is more difficult.

Towns, power and communication facilities near the epicenter were destroyed: the earthquake occurred near the epicenter towns and Yushu County, and the damage was distributed in a belt along the active fault.
