A flower that looks like garlic-hyacinthus orientalis.
Hyacinthus orientalis is a perennial herbaceous bulbous plant belonging to asparagus, hyacinthus orientalis and hyacinthus orientalis. Before it blooms, especially like garlic, it will bloom wonderfully. Common colors are pink, purple, blue, etc ... The original species is light purple. Natural flowering: March to April.
Growth habits: hyacinthus orientalis is native to the Mediterranean coast of southern Europe and Asia Minor, and the Netherlands is the main producing area of hyacinthus orientalis; Hyacinthus orientalis likes sunshine, can resist cold, likes cool and humid environment, is suitable for growing in loose and fertile sandy soil, and likes sunny or semi-cloudy environment; Underground planting, potted plants and hydroponics are all acceptable.
Maintenance method
1. Potted soil: hyacinthus orientalis needs sandy loam with good drainage and not too dry, which requires fertile soil, high organic matter content, good aggregate structure, neutral to slightly alkaline, and pH value around 6~7.
2. Moisture: Soil moisture should be kept between 60% and 70%. When watering, it should be dry and wet alternately, and it should not accumulate water or be too dry.
3. Temperature: the suitable growth temperature should be judged according to the growth stage; Before the bud blooms, 2~ 10℃ is the most suitable for growth; The most suitable budding stage is 15- 18℃, and the temperature can be kept at about 25℃ after flowering.
4. Illumination: It can grow well where there is enough scattered light. Insufficient light will lead to thin plants, too long stems, small buds and yellow leaves. If the light at home is insufficient, you can use incandescent lamps to make up the light at around 1 m.
Hydroponics:
1. Container: Water conservation in hyacinthus orientalis requires that the water level should be 1~2cm away from the bulb chassis for root respiration. You can choose a gourd-shaped container, and then wrap the glass container with black material to make it grow better in the dark.
2. Illumination: After sprouting in a completely dark environment for more than 20 days, put it outdoors to be exposed to sunlight. At first, it takes 1 ~ 2 hours a day, and then it gradually increases to 7~8 hours. Most of them will bloom when the weather is fine during the Spring Festival.
3. Change water: you can put a few pieces of charcoal in the water, which can adsorb impurities in the water and also play a role in disinfection. Generally, water can be changed every 15 days 1 time. (judging whether to change water according to water quality)
