This year's Spring Festival solar eclipse eclipse meteor shower.

This year is the year of global astronomy, and all kinds of astronomical phenomena join in the fun, as if celebrating. There are not only solar eclipses and lunar eclipses here, but also comet Lulin discovered by Lulin Observatory of Central University of Taiwan Province Province, which will be closest to the Earth in February this year. This comet can be seen with a simple telescope.

Central weather bureau said that there was an annular eclipse, a total solar eclipse, a partial lunar eclipse and three penumbral eclipses in the world this year. Taiwan Province Province can see two solar eclipses and a penumbral eclipse.

Zheng Zhenfeng, a technician at the Astronomical Station of the Meteorological Bureau, pointed out that the annular solar eclipse will appear on 1 26th. On the first day of the lunar new year, the annular eclipse belt starts from the South Atlantic Ocean, crosses the Indian Ocean from the Southern African Sea, and finally ends in Hainan, Philippines. The partial solar eclipse can only be seen 25 to 35 minutes before sunset in Taiwan Province province.

More noteworthy is the total solar eclipse on July 22. Zheng Zhenfeng said that the solar eclipse started in India, passed through Chinese mainland and Hainan, and finally ended in the South Pacific. Cities near the Yangtze River valley in China, such as Shanghai, can see the total solar eclipse. Even if it doesn't reach the other side, Taiwan Province Province can see about 80% partial solar eclipse.

In the eclipse part, this year's Lantern Festival, Taiwan Province Province can see the whole process of the penumbral eclipse. The so-called penumbral eclipse refers to the change of brightness when the moon passes through the penumbral region of the earth. It starts at 8: 37 pm and ends at 0: 40 am the next day.

Comet Lulin discovered by Lulin Observatory of Central University will pass the perihelion on 1 month 10, and approach the Earth on February 24th. It is estimated that it can reach the brightness visible to the naked eye, which is about four to five.

In addition, on September 4, 2008, Saturn's ring was facing the earth and seemed to disappear from sight. There are still nine meteor showers throughout the year, and 8: 50 tomorrow night will be the maximum of the meteor shower in this quadrant.

The weather in Taiwan Province Province these two days is influenced by the cold air mass in mainland China. Watch the meteor shower and get ready to keep warm.
