I want to travel to Lhasa. Is it safe now? What's the climate like? Is it too cold now? Give some help to those who have been there.

I have worked in Tibet for 16 years. Let me give you some advice:

Travel, of course, is good in summer (May-65438+1October). My experience is that Tibet has high altitude, dry climate, low oxygen content and few fresh vegetables, which is not as good as the mainland, but it is good in other aspects. For example, the air is fresh, the scenery is magnificent (many of them are the best in the country and even in the world), the sky is high enough, birds are flying enough, the ground is wide enough, and horses are running enough. It's not hot in summer and not too cold in winter (as long as you don't live in the mountains). (Characterized by a large temperature difference between sunrise and sunset) "It's a pity that you can't go to Tibet without the Great Wall!" I hope you can see for yourself!

The public security in Tibet is generally good. Events like the riots in Lhasa have long since subsided and tourist reception has resumed. Tibetans are generally friendly, enthusiastic and respectful to Han people. The vast majority of Tibetans do not welcome Da * back.

If I want to travel now (in winter), I think there are advantages and disadvantages.

The advantages are:

1. At this time, it is also the winter in the mainland and the winter in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The temperature difference is not big. They all wear winter clothes, which are convenient to carry and use (unlike winter clothes on the way to Tibet in summer).

2. Mountains, rivers and wilderness are often wrapped in silver, which is especially beautiful under the sunlight, which is incomparable in the mainland.

3. Entering the off-season of tourism, the price is cheap and the famous scenic spots are not crowded.

Disadvantages are:

1. The grassland in the mountains is cold, and mainlanders are not used to it, so they may get sick from freezing.

Many scenic spots have been frozen, not as good as Xia Tianmei.

There is more snow on the road. The snow closes the mountain, the road conditions are not good, the danger increases, and people often go hungry and freeze.

In addition, you should bring water, food, clothes and medicines when driving on the road (especially to prevent altitude sickness, carsickness, colds and diarrhea). Wear sunglasses in summer to prevent the sun from whistling. Do a physical examination before departure if possible, and be cautious if you have high blood pressure or heart disease.

Most people don't need to bring oxygen. Hospitals in Tibet generally have oxygen supply, which is not expensive. Oxygen-increasing drugs are easily available in shops.

Local food features butter tea, highland barley wine and large size, and beef and mutton are eaten in large pieces. Many Han people can't eat butter tea and can't get used to the taste.

When you first arrive at the plateau, you will have altitude sickness, such as dry nose, dizziness, palpitation and top-heaviness. I usually get used to it in three or five days. If you can't eat, you must insist on eating more.

Regarding the route to Tibet, the scenery of the Sichuan-Tibet line is very beautiful. I suggest you take the bus on the Sichuan-Tibet line when you enter Tibet, and take the bus from Chengdu to Lhasa. Cross the Hengduan Mountains and visit Erlang Mountain, Dadu River, Luding Bridge, Kangding City, Queer Mountain, Jinsha River, Qamdo, Lancang River, Bangda Grassland, Nujiang River, Ranwu Lake and Linzhi to Lhasa. Take the Qinghai-Tibet line by plane or train on the return trip, because the Qinghai-Tibet line is high in altitude, low in temperature and monotonous in scenery.

Introduction to Lhasa attractions:

the Potala Palace

Access time must exceed 2 hours. However, after the opening hours of 1 hour, tickets are basically no longer sold. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday is the day when Tibetans worship Buddha, and there are many people. You can also drive directly to the top from the back door by car, and get down from the front door after the visit, which is more labor-saving.

Note: 1. Palace height, up and down slowly.

It's cold in the temple, so it's best to prepare a coat even in summer.

If you want to take photos in the temple, the cost is very high. Gu suggested hanging the camera on his chest instead of flashing it, which was also satisfactory.

There are few toilets in Bugong, so it is better to solve them at the entrance before the tour. The toilet at the back door of another cloth palace is very distinctive and a landscape. Don't miss it.

The inspection of Bugong is very strict, and it is almost impossible to evade tickets. There is a way to try, that is, Tibetans go to the front door on the first, third and fifth days of junior high school, and don't buy tickets first. After climbing the stairs, there is a small room where Tibetans buy tickets, 2 yuan/Zhang. You can ask Tibetans to buy one for you. Before entering the main hall, someone will come to collect and check the tickets, so it is best to dress up in advance and raise your warm hands.

Jokhang Temple:

Access time exceeds 65,438+0 hours. Most people go to worship Buddha in the morning, and there are many people. Generally, tour groups take the side door in the afternoon. If you are a self-help traveler, I suggest you go in the morning and go in through the main entrance with the payer. You don't need to buy a ticket. Many small halls open in the morning. From Jokhang Temple, Bajiao Street is particularly worth visiting. It is not only a turning road, but also the best place to buy souvenirs and experience Tibetan folk customs. You can visit the house in the alley. There is a song that says, "There are more windows than doors in the old Bajiao Street. The girl in the window has softer bones than meat. "

Sera temple

The opening hours are 08:00- 18:30, and the visit time is 2 hours. From Monday to Friday afternoon, there is an interpretation of the Buddhist scriptures of the Lama (15: 00- 17: 00), which is worth seeing. Bus No.5 can go directly to 2 yuan/Ren at the entrance of the temple, and can be found in Jokhang Temple parking lot, Qingnian Road and Niangniang Road. Sera Temple is not far from downtown. Taxi 10 yuan.

drepung monastery

It is open from 08: 00 in the morning to 18: 30 in the evening. The visit time must be two and a half hours, which is far from the urban area. In the morning, there are no.4 buses to Sanyuan Temple, and no.3 buses only to the foot of the mountain. Walk 1 hour, take a taxi 15-20 yuan. Drepung monastery is very big, and it is built on a mountain, so it naturally has the opportunity to evade tickets.

Norbulingka

The visit time is 1.5 hours. No.2 bus passes by, and No.3 bus has a long way to go. This scenic spot is not very impressive, so you can give it up when time is tight. Go on Sundays or important festivals, and get tickets to 2 yuan. Because of the holidays, locals go to Karin more often.

Wang Yao rock paintings

One scenic spot on the U-turn road is open all day, and there is no CMB passing by, so it is convenient to take a taxi. The cliff paintings here are very distinctive. You can climb to the top of the mountain to see Lhasa. It is also an excellent place to have a panoramic view of Potala Palace.

DGA '-ldan; Ganden

Gandan Temple, located 40km east of Lhasa, was built at 1409, and is the first monastery of Gelug Sect. It was severely damaged during the Cultural Revolution and only rebuilt in recent years.

Chubu temple

Located in the upper reaches of Chubu River, 60 kilometers west of Lhasa. There is no accommodation in Chubu Temple, so you'd better not miss the only return bus. However, on the way back, many schools and buildings in the village can stay, and the scenery on the road is beautiful. You can consider walking and hitchhiking back to Lhasa.

There is also Tianhu Namu Lake in Naqu area (poor winter):

Nearly 600 kilometers away from Lhasa, the scenery is excellent. At present, the nature reserve is under construction, and you can really feel the snowy plateau, grassland, snow-capped mountains, lakes, herders, cattle and sheep. . . Artistic conception of Tibet. Generally, it is more convenient to go from Lhasa by off-road vehicle, or from Dangxiong by truck or domestic jeep, but it is hard and the cost is not much saved. To go to Namco, you must go to Zhaxi Peninsula, which is a karst landform, a cave stone forest, with ancient cave paintings and occasional practice. Around the island, 1.5 hours, good physical strength and excellent scenery. A two-day trip is usually arranged to Namco. On the first day, you set off from Lhasa, passed through Dangxiong grassland and went directly to Zhaxi Lake Island. You can return from Namco the next day, and take a geothermal hot spring bath in Yangbajing if it is convenient. There are also guests who arrange a three-day trip.
