Looking for academic time in Qiqu Mountain, Zitong
Although Qiqushan Temple is called Temple, it is the holy land of Quanzhen, the mainstream Taoism. It was built by the people to worship Zhang Yazi, formerly known as "Yazi Temple". Later, Zhang Yazi was named "Wenchang Emperor", and the ancestral temple was expanded into a big temple and renamed "Wenchang Palace". The architecture of Qiqushan Temple is not aligned with the central axis like traditional architecture. Built according to Qiqu Mountain, the height is strewn at random. Temple design, meticulous and exquisite, carved beams and painted buildings, has both the majestic momentum of northern architecture and the exquisiteness of southern gardens. It was expanded many times in the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, with three different styles, which became an important basis for studying history.
Qiqushan Temple is the birthplace of Emperor Wenchang, so it is also called the hometown of Emperor. Ci Hai records: "Zitong Emperor, the god who dominates fame and status in Taoism." There is also a Kuixing Building in Qiqushan Temple, where a statue of Kuixing is enshrined. "Kuixing fights and takes the lead." Kuixing is also the god who dominates the rise and fall of articles in ancient mythology. Therefore, Qiqu Mountain Temple became the first stop for thousands of students to worship and pray. On both sides of the corridor of Kuixing Building, banners signed by students from all over the country are hung. The effect of praying in Qiqu Mountain Temple has been handed down from generation to generation, with a great reputation and a prosperous incense. There is a saying that there is a Confucius Temple in the north and Wenchang in the south.
It is not only famous for its blessing, but also a towering "natural oxygen bar" in Cooper. Legend has it that Zhang Fei led troops through here, and the weather was unbearable. Zhang Fei ordered people to plant trees to enjoy the cool, and something magical happened. Trees are planted in the morning and shaded in the afternoon. So Zhang Fei ordered the local people to plant tens of thousands of trees, forming the Cuiyun Gallery here. The ancient cypresses in Cuiyun Gallery have different shapes, some of which are tall and straight, pointing to the blue sky, implying that their character is as tall and straight as Mount Tai, hence the name "Taishan cypress". Some are intertwined, similar to each other, like husband and wife inseparable, named "husband and wife cypress"; A branch leans to form a tree hole that can shelter from the wind and rain. It is said that Liu Chan took shelter from the rain here after his death, so he was named "Prince Bai" or "Adou Bai"; There is a plant that is the most amazing. It has no skin, no branches and no leaves, but it has lived for a hundred years. It is said that Wenchang Emperor planted it himself.
