What's the climate like in Indonesia!

Indonesia's climate type is a typical tropical rain forest climate, also known as equatorial rainy climate.

Climatic characteristics of Indonesia:

It is hot and rainy all year round, with an average monthly temperature of 25-28℃ and an annual precipitation of over 2000 mm, with even seasonal distribution and no dry season.

Causes of tropical rain forest in Indonesia

Main reason: solar radiation.

Indonesia is located in the equatorial region, from south latitude 12 to north latitude 7. The annual variation of solar radiation is small, because the sun passes through the zenith twice before and after the vernal equinox and autumnal equinox in a year, the annual variation of meteorological elements has double peaks. Solar radiation (the amount of solar radiation in tropical rain forest climate is generally 10 ~ 180 kcal ~ 2) forms an equatorial low pressure area, and the trade winds gather near the equator and converge and rise, and the water vapor contained in it is easy to form clouds, causing rainfall. Climate change is monotonous, and it is summer all year round. It is usually sunny in the morning, hot before noon, rainy in the afternoon, and a little cold in the yellow rain.

Secondary reason: the ocean is vast.

Indonesia is the largest archipelagic country in the world, consisting of about 17508 islands between the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean. The land area is about 6.5438+0.904 million square kilometers, and the ocean area is about 3.65438+0.66 million square kilometers (excluding the exclusive economic zone). Such a marine environment leads to strong convective movement, so Indonesia's rainforest climate has outstanding marine characteristics.

Other reasons: equatorial warm current

The latitude of India is close to the north equatorial warm current, which is located on the north side of the equator. Because this warm current is an ocean current propelled from east to west under the influence of the northeast trade wind, it belongs to the wind current and also brings a steady stream of warm and humid air flow to Indonesia.
