The Buddha's light and quiet scenery of Huangguangshan in Beiguo Temple

Huangguangshan is a beautiful place in Zhong Ling. Surrounded by mountains, the mountains embrace each other, and there are strange scenery and rocks. At the foot of Longxi, the water and sky are the same as the South China Sea.

Huangguangshan is located next to Longqing Highway, about 8 kilometers northwest of longjiang town, Huilai County. The mountain was named "Huangtenggang" with its back to the southern mountain range, and was later renamed "Huangtingguangshan" and "Huangguangshan" by Dajianshan and Erjianshan in the west respectively.

There are a pair of "mandarin ducks and banyan trees" in Quxi village at the foot of Huangguang Mountain, which are famous far and near. Two huge banyan trees and a pair of pleasant trunks do not know when to embrace each other, so they must love each other and live in harmony.

The entrance of Huangguangshan is composed of six circular cement columns, which are covered with ochre strip tiles, with colorful flags hanging on them, and the four characters "Buddha's light and secluded land" are embedded in the banner. There is a natural lake on the right side of the mountain gate, sparkling like a mirror and crystal clear. It is formed by the accumulation of mountain spring water, and the water quality is mellow. It's called Xixin Lake, also called release pond. The northern fortune on Huangguang Mountain is projected on Xixin Lake, and the lakes and mountains set each other off. Bukkoji blooms like a lotus in the beautiful mountains.

The trees on both sides of Shangshan Avenue are layered, and the cliff stone carvings add elegance to the famous ancient temples. The nearby Shiniang Cave is a natural stone house composed of several huge stones. The natural boulders tend to be barren rocks, and the roof boulders meet here, forming a colored light hole of natural rocks, commonly known as "skylight". There are different shapes of stones around the stone house, forming a natural stone forest group, including: monkeys swinging, monkeys fishing for the moon, that is, learning stones, and other natural landscapes, and the wonders of nature are amazing.

There is a "Nantianmen" scenic spot 200 meters away from Shiniang Cave. Passing through the Nantianmen, it is the well-known ancient Xuande Temple with a long history. There is a "Big Dragon Gate" on the left side of the ancient temple, which is symmetrical with the worse gate, with the same style and different colors. In front of the temple, there is a stone wall protecting the mountain from the south, which is 45 meters wide and 12 meters high, and the word "Huangguangshan" is embedded on it. Near the giant wall fence is the "god" god, and there is a one-yuan pagoda in the east, which is beautifully built; In the center of the front of the temple, there is a carved statue of the Han nationality in Myanmar and Siddhartha Gautama in White King, which is more than 2 meters high and weighs 2 tons. The Buddha statue is solemn and kind, with his left hand on his knee and his right hand on his chest. The lines are clear and beautifully carved. This statue is the treasure of this ancient temple. In the "sea-watching pavilion" in the southwest of Dacheng, the pavilion reads: "Mount Tai faces the water in the south, and Song is in charge of Dehai, Yuan Junren and Wang." When the weather is fine, visitors can stay in the exhibition hall and enjoy the beautiful South China Sea in the distance.

The stone carvings on the outer wall of Xuande Ancient Temple include the inscription "Huangguangshan" in Guiyue in the third year of Qing Dynasty (19 12) and the Preface of Rebuilding Huangguangshan Ancient Temple. The stone carving records: "Dragon water dances lightly, Lion Mountain stands high, and Huang Guangqian, a monk in the Song Dynasty, built it here, later called Huang Guangshan. There is an ancient temple in the Southern Song Dynasty and the early Ming Dynasty on the mountain. Its mountains used to be hundreds, belonging to Nanhai County in Thailand, Haining in metal, the capital of Longxi in Song Dynasty, and Chaozhou in Ming Dynasty ... winding paths lead to secluded places, caves in stone houses, trickling clear springs, adding elegance, reaching the peak, looking at the sea in the south as a mirror, reflecting the eyes of four towns, showing the scenery of five towns and dripping Li Bai Nanling, attracting thousands of heroes in previous dynasties. Another stone tablet reads: "This temple was a stronghold of revolutionary activities during the Great Revolution and War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, and was burned down by Kuomintang troops. ".

The mountain is not high, but there are immortals. Xuande Ancient Temple began in the first year of Deyou in the Southern Song Dynasty (1275) and has a history of more than 730 years. It is a famous Buddhist temple in eastern Guangdong. The temple faces south, with three doors, and the front of the door is engraved with four characters "Xuande Ancient Temple". There are operas and figure paintings engraved on both sides, and the entrance is engraved with a quatrain depicting the scenery of Huangguang Mountain: "At the place of worship in the left and right mountains, the clouds lock the peaks and mountains naturally, and the scenery of Huangtenggang reflects the spring fragrance. The tortoise and snake under your feet are better. You can't write all the scenery at close range, and the sea connects the sky in the distance. " The whole temple is grand in scale and momentum. The temple integrates Chaoshan architectural art and folk crafts such as stone carving, porcelain carving and gold lacquer wood carving.

According to relevant historical records, in the ancient village at the foot of Huangguang Mountain, many people studied here in history; In the Qing dynasty, the martial arts people in Quxi township practiced martial arts here; He Long, the leader of Nanchang Uprising, left his footprints here. During the Great Revolution, the Dongjiang Special Committee established the Great Nanshan Soviet Area, and Peng Pai, the outstanding leader of the peasant movement, was also here. During the Great Revolution, Tang Dahe led the Red Guards to combine here and organized armed cooperation with Peng Pai, secretary of Dongjiang Special Committee, to conquer Huilai City. Many touching historical stories have created the glory of Huang Guangshan. Xuande Ancient Temple in Huangguangshan has been baptized by wind and rain for more than 700 years, with a long history and rich cultural heritage.

There is a Hall of Great Heroes in Huangguangshan. The three Tathagata stone carvings in the Hall are all 5.3 meters high and are called "Three Treasures of Buddha". Nearby are two stone statues of waiters, namely Ye Fengye and Ananda, each of which is over 1 m high, with eighteen arhats on both sides. There are Tianwang Hall, Bell and Drum Tower, Tibetan Classics Pavilion, Guanyin Pavilion, Compassion Pavilion, Dizang Hall, Ten Thousand Buddha Pagodas, Buddhist Temple, Pagodas, Promenade and 500 arhats. Now the abbot is far-sighted. In order to develop the religious cause in Huilai County, the ancient temple has been newly built, rebuilt and expanded, and two cement roads have been opened for climbing into the temple, each with its own things. The building has Minnan characteristics, magnificent momentum and spectacular scale. Halls and pavilions, carved beams and painted buildings, exquisite stone carvings, vivid shapes and rich contents. Professor Chen Chuankang, a contemporary tourism expert, once praised Huang Guangshan for "hiding ancient temples in the deep mountains, and there are caves in the blessed land".

The most representative scenic spot of yellow light is the "Buddha of Light" on the top of the mountain. According to "Northern Lucky Story", it was once the flat land on the top of the mountain. Monks in the temple and villagers at the foot of the mountain often see that strange light at night, believing that it is the arrival of the Buddha and protecting all beings. 1994 started construction at the initiative and launch of Master Zheng Chuan, which took two years to complete. The Buddha statue is 28 meters high, and its base is composed of 160 lotus petals at the foot of the stone carving Buddha statue, carved from white hemp stone. The Buddha statue stands kindly and solemnly on the top of the mountain, surrounded by 48 stone Buddha statues each more than 2 meters high. The white marble stone carving incense burner in front of the Buddha statue is exquisite and unique, which can be called the treasure of stone carving technology and the crystallization of the wisdom of Chaoshan working people.
