Yes, Kakhki is the core area of grape cultivation in Georgia. Vineyards account for 65% of the total grape planting area in Georgia, with an altitude of 250-800 meters, and most vineyards are concentrated at an altitude of 400-600 meters. Kahoki has a mild climate, close to subtropical climate, hot summer and few windy weather in winter. Kahji production area is divided into four sub-areas: right bank of Alazan River, left bank of Alazan River, Kizik and Waikaha River base. Each sub-region is divided into many small production areas, including 14 geographical protection area. The wine produced in each small producing area has its own style because of the different local conditions and microclimate.
