Carp are timid and alert. When fishing for carp in hot weather, which baits are more suitable for catching big carp?
It is relatively easy to catch carp in spring and autumn. The high temperature in midsummer makes it not suitable for carp fishing during the day, unless it is a rainy day, the fishing point is turbid or the water inlet and outlet has gentle slopes, the bottom is uneven, and there are lagoons. It is easier to catch carp in these places such as sharp fish passages. The effect of fishing carp at night in midsummer is obviously much better, and you can fish in shallow water. Carp has higher requirements for the taste type of bait, so the bait must match the taste. Let’s take a look. 01 Stinky corn and rice
Stinky bait is especially suitable for fishing carp, and it is particularly effective when using high temperature or liquid fertilizer. Due to liquid fertilizer or high temperature, underwater fermentation is more serious. Carp has the growth habit of hunting in the fine sand at the bottom of the water, and will continue to eat humus. Therefore, it is more interested in smelly bait. This type of bait is also easier to avoid small fish. The fish are making a nest, and the fish are not only unable to bite but also have no interest.
Stinky corn and rice are used in many ways, but there are two popular ones. The first is to boil brown sugar and ginger water, and then soak it for a long time until it smells bad. The second is to first soak the dried oil in small water to make it smelly, and then put the corn or rice in it. After it is soaked until soft, it can be used. Relatively speaking, it is more recommended to use stinky corn because it has a stronger hook and is more suitable for catching large carp. 2. Sweet taste
Sweet bait is effective for both large and small carp, while smelly bait is relatively better at meeting the requirements of large carp. There are many sweet-flavored bait recipes, such as pastry. Mix corn flour and wheat flour in an 82% ratio, add brown sugar, white sugar, honey, and red date paste. Among them, brown sugar and red date paste have the best effect.
Use boiling water to mix the dough. The batter must be very soft and cooked after making a slice. After cooling, slice it and sprinkle it with a handful of fried soybean flour, which is fragrant and sweet, and many fish can be caught; or steam the sweet potatoes, mash them into sweet potato puree, and use them with other grain-based baits to rub large baits for fishing. Bottom fishing for big carp. Pastry, cooked or roasted sweet potato cubes are all good raw materials for making nests, and they do not attract fish. There is a little trick to make a nest using glutinous rice or sweet potatoes. Leave it indoors for a day and it will become dry and knotted before making a nest to prevent small fish from making a nest. 3. Wine-flavored bait
Bottom fish basically have the growth habit of eating wine-flavored bait. Since items containing glycogen or tapioca starch will ferment at the bottom of the water, resulting in a wine-flavored bait, bottom fish should be hunted for wine-flavored bait. Even the fish you eat are not averse to this taste. Wine-flavored bait is naturally fermented best. Although wine-soaked wine can also achieve this flavor, many pure grain wines are blended rather than brewed. In fact, making nest materials or bait, especially in seasons with strong ambient temperatures, does not require such a strong smell, and it is particularly suitable to use fermented glutinous rice wine (jiangmi wine), which must be brewed.
With grain bait and a little glutinous rice wine, the carp fishing effect is very good. You can also soak the old corn until soft and then cook it, then add sweet koji for sealing and fermentation. This corn has a universal effect. The steps for making the old glutinous rice wine are exactly the same. The glutinous rice is soaked until soft, cooked, stirred and then refrigerated, mixed with sweet wine koji to seal and ferment, and it can be used for fishing in a week.
Carp are timid and alert. When fishing for carp, you should generally keep quiet and do not tease. This is completely different from fishing for crucian carp. There are two other things to pay attention to when fishing for carp. The first is that the bait is generally resistant to soaking, and the second is that both baits should lie completely on the bottom when adjusting the float.
