Jackson

The plot of this play is set about four years later (about 2038), and the starting point of the story is Jackson, Wyoming.

preface

The story begins shortly after Joel and Ellie arrived in Jackson four years ago. Joel and Tommy rest at an outpost after a routine border patrol. Joel packed his guitar and told Tommy about his experience of escorting Ellie from Boston to Salt Lake City on behalf of fireflies.

After going through all kinds of hardships, the relationship between the two people has been constantly improved during the journey, from the initial strangeness to the father-daughter relationship similar to cohabitation, so that when fireflies told him to sacrifice Ellie for the vaccine, Joel simply refused (although he had no reason to do so), and did not hesitate to kill the doctor who performed the operation, firefly chief Marlene and many other firefly members, forcibly took Ellie away and concealed the truth from her. Tommy was shocked and warned Joel never to mention it to anyone.

When they returned to Jackson, Joel went to see Ellie and gave her a guitar, saying that he would teach her to play in the future.

Two years ago, Ellie suspected that Joel had taken her away from fireflies. She went back to the ruins of the old firefly site in Salt Lake City alone and found the recording left by the firefly. Road to Aquarium

After returning to the outpost, Jerry found that making vaccines would kill Ellie. Four months ago, Abby went to the aquarium to visit Owen. Owen cleaned and decorated the place. Abby told her that Joel's brother appeared in Jackson, and Joel was probably together, and invited Owen to chase him.
