Tianmen Fox Fairy is the world's first song and dance musical with a complete storyline, with mountains and peaks as the background and mountain valleys as the stage. The stage is located in the entire canyon from the entrance of Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area to the top of Tianmen Mountain. The total investment reached 120 million yuan and the cast team reached more than 530 people. The main stage is made of 10,000 square meters of fiberglass and is currently the largest panoramic fiberglass stage in the world. The performance venue is the Tianmen Mountain Canyon Theater, located in the entire 5-kilometer-deep canyon from the gate to the top of the Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area, with a total length of about 10 kilometers and an altitude difference of 1,100 meters. The main stage is built at the lower end of the canyon inside the mountain gate. Dozens of strange peaks on both sides of the entire canyon and the high-hanging Tianmen Cave have become the deep background of the main stage.

Not far from the mountain gate is the auditorium and stage. The main performance stage is integrated with canyons, peaks, forests, streams and waterfalls, forming a super stage with a depth of several kilometers and a width and height difference of more than a kilometer. Using fiberglass structure, it is currently the largest fiberglass stage in the world. It looks like a fallen ancient tree floating on a trickling stream, and is integrated with the prominent stone bed. The strong and light-transmitting features allow the entire stage to be fully illuminated and change colors through lighting effects, creating various fantasy scenes, making people feel like they are in the dreamland of Avatar and see the miracle of stones glowing. In order to create the majestic atmosphere of the Alpine Canyon Theater, the theater installed more than 3,000 special-effect lights, extending from the valley to the top of the mountain, with a drop of more than a kilometer, bringing the audience a visual enjoyment of changing light and shadow.

The entire performance area includes five performance areas: the center stage, the human world on the left, the fox world on the right, the chorus stage on the left, and the terraces and wooden bridge in the rear performance area.

Surrounding the central stage are Tujia villages with Western Hunan characteristics, a wild fox paradise, and terraces, wooden bridges, and waterwheels that restore Tujia life. Here, the magnificent peaks and ravines, the waterfalls and springs in the canyons, the mist and smoke in the sky, the trees and flowers on the mountains, and the high-hanging Tianmen Cave form a deep and deep center stage that looks like an ancient tree. It is several kilometers wide and has a height difference of more than a kilometer. It is the largest and only mountain canyon theater in the world.

The performance site has an auditorium with 2,800 seats for the best viewing angle, allowing every audience to feel the majesty and grandeur of the Mountain Canyon Theater from any angle.

This act was originated from the Chinese landscape performance Mei Shuaiyuan, the chief producer of "Impression: Liu Sanjie", serves as the chief director, Oscar-winning Chinese composer Tan Dun serves as the music and art director, and the famous dancer Yang Lipingwu serves as the choreographer. It is the world's first musical song and dance drama with high mountains and peaks as the stage background, mountain valleys as the performance stage, and a complete storyline. The biggest feature of the drama is that it embodies the emotions of the mountains, rivers and trees, and achieves the unity of man and nature. The whole play is divided into four acts (some say it is five acts, but the plot is the same):
