Tianshui is an important birthplace of ancient culture in China, enjoying the reputation of "hometown of Huang Xi", and it is a holy place for descendants of dragons at home and abroad to seek their roots and ancestors. There are many cultural relics in China, and there are 169 national, provincial and municipal key protected cultural relics, among which Dadiwan site preserves a large number of early Neolithic and Yangshao cultural treasures. Tianshui is the only Fuxi Temple with a statue of China Fuxi, with carved beams and painted buildings. Maijishan Grottoes, one of the four largest grottoes in China, is known as the "Oriental Sculpture Museum". More than 7,730 statues from the end of the 4th century to the 20th century, about 1.600 years ago, together with Daxiangshan, water curtain cave, Lashao Temple and Muti Temple, constitute the "Grottoes Art Corridor" in the eastern part of the ancient Silk Road. At the same time, the botanical gardens, Xianrenya, Shimen, Jingtu Temple, Quxi, Xiangjishan, peach blossom ditch and Jiezi Hot Spring Resort, which are distributed in dozens of miles around Maijishan Fiona Fang, together form the National Forest Park-Maijishan Scenic Area. The cultural landscape and natural beauty complement each other and are unique, attracting countless tourists at home and abroad.

Tianshui was called Ji Cheng in ancient times. According to legend, Fu, the ancestor of China, was born here, so it is also called "the hometown of Huang Xi". Tianshui has a long history and rich cultural heritage. There are many cultural relics in the territory. Almost every square kilometer has Neolithic cultural sites. Tianshui Fuxi Temple and Guatai Mountain are places where Chinese people at home and abroad worship their ancestors. The well-known historical story of Ma Su Jieting and Jiang Wei fighting Xiaolongshan is in Tianshui. Wushan water curtain cave, there are various towers, springs, sculptures and portraits in the cave; The Great Xiangshan Mountain in Gangu rises from the ground, towering and spectacular, and there is a serene giant Xiangshan Buddha on the mountain; Ren Xian Cliff, adjacent to McKee, is a scenic spot where Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism are integrated.

Tianshui is a rare place with beautiful mountains and rivers in Gansu. Maijishan Scenic Area, which consists of Maijishan Grottoes, Xiaolongshan Botanical Garden, Xianrenya, Shimen and Quxi, is the first batch of scenic spots announced by the State Council. The area is surrounded by mountains and waters, which is both beautiful in the south of the Yangtze River and magnificent in the north. This is an ideal tourist attraction. Because of this, there is a famous sentence in Chen Yunhe's poem, "Tianshui irrigated Maiji Mountain for many years, and used the fertilizer precipitated by history to give birth to excellent seeds recognized by ancestors in Fuxi."
