In March 2001, Shanghai Agricultural Industry and Commerce (Group) Corporation decided to establish Shanghai Nongkou Real Estate (Group) Co., Ltd.

On August 10, 2001, Shanghai Nongkou Real Estate (Group) Co., Ltd. held its first shareholders and first board of directors meeting. The following resolution was made: 9 comrades including Lu Meihua, Liu Yicheng, Li Zhiguo, Zhang Yongchang, He Zhiping, Shen Weiping, Ye Xiaoming, Xia Deming and Chen Xiaomin were appointed as directors. Lu Mei is the chairman and legal representative of Huawei Group; Liu Yi becomes the vice chairman and general manager; Li Zhiguo and Zhang Yongchang are deputy general managers; Comrade Zhang Yongquan is the chief supervisor; Comrade Yu Sili is a supervisor.

On August 23, 2001, the temporary industrial and commercial business license of "Shanghai Nongkou Real Estate (Group) Co., Ltd." was obtained.

On August 28, 2003, the group launched the internal magazine "Agricultural, Industrial and Commercial Real Estate".

On September 23, 2003, the group officially changed its name to "Shanghai Agricultural, Industrial and Commercial Real Estate (Group) Co., Ltd."

On October 7, 2003, the Group participated in the bidding of the Zhoupu project for the construction of low- to medium-priced "four high" demonstration residential areas in Shanghai, and obtained the land use rights and development rights of 120 acres.
