Which district of Chengdu is Chunxi Road?

Chunxi Road is in Jinjiang District, Chengdu.

Jinjiang District, which belongs to Chengdu, Sichuan Province, is one of the old five districts in Chengdu. Located in the southeast of Chengdu, it borders chenghua district in the east, Wuhou District across the river in the west, Qingyang District in the northwest, Shuangliu District in the south and Longquanyi District in the southeast.

Chunxi Road was built by Yang Sen at 1924. At first, Chunxi Road in Chengdu was named "Wei Sen Road" because of the title of "General Wei Sen" by Yang Sen, and later it was quoted from Laozi's Tao Te Ching: "Everyone is bustling. If you enjoy too much, if you are on the platform?" The story was renamed Chunxi Road to describe the bustling business, the bustling crowd and the bustling times here.

Chunxi Road was intended to be built into a straight line, but Zheng Shaofu, the owner of Fuji Pharmacy in Zongfu Street at that time, was an interpreter of the French consulate and refused to be demolished, so Yang Sen had to compromise. So in Zhongshan Square, Xichun East Road and Xichun West Road, Xichun South Road and Xichun North Road are staggered.

The Origin of Chunxi Road Signs

The street sign of Chunxi Road was designed by Liu, a designer in Hangzhou. The word "Xi Chun" is combined into a whole by calligraphy. The word "Sun" under the word "Spring" and the word "Minister" to the left of the word "Xi" overlap and simplify into a square with "1924" written in it. The whole design is mainly red and yellow. The square hole in the sign represents ancient coins and is a symbol of wealth. 1924 is the age named Chunxi Road, and the four dots under the sign symbolize the bustling crowd and the prosperity of the pedestrian street.

On the back of the sign, there is an allusion to the origin of "Spring Festival travel rush", which reads "People come and go, such as stepping on the spring platform". The whole design not only embodies the long commercial history of Chunxi Road, but also embodies the characteristics of Chunxi Road as a famous commercial street in China.
