Ulan can be reached in two directions, one is from Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, and the other is from Weichang, Hebei.

Inner Mongolia direction:

Chifeng Yulong Airport is 0/5 km away from Chifeng New City/KLOC-,and there are flights to and from Beijing, Shanghai, Hohhot, Dalian, Shenyang, Tianjin, Chengdu, Chongqing and Ordos. At Chifeng airport, you can take the airport bus and bus No.33 to the downtown area.

Chifeng has trains to and from Beijing, Dalian, Shenyang and Harbin every day. Take a long-distance bus from Chifeng Bus Station to Peng Jing Town of Keqi, and take a bus at Keqi Bus Station to different tourist development zones and different scenic spots in Wulan.

Paddock direction:

From Beijing Liuliqiao Bus Station or Xizhimen Coach Station, take the bus directly to the paddock. There are shuttle buses from Chengde and Siheyuan to the paddock. The shuttle bus can reach Wulanbutong from the paddock bus station and mechanical forest farm.

If you drive, it only takes 4 hours to get to Wulan different from Beijing by Chengde Line.

Self-driving route: (1) Take Jingcheng Expressway, from Chengde Shuangfeng Temple to Chengde Benlonghua-paddock-Saihanba Mechanical Forest Farm-Military Horse Farm;

(2) Take the National Highway11to Fengning County-Guojiatun-Yudaokou-Mechanical Forest Farm-Military Horse Farm;

(3) Beijing-Fengning-Duolun, Inner Mongolia-Caimushan-Junmachang;

(4) Beijing-Yanqing -207 national highway-Habiriga-Zhenglanqi-Duolun-Caimushan-Military Racecourse.

Choosing (3) and (4) can save the money of tickets for Saihanba scenic spot, and of course the road will be longer. Road conditions are not as good as (1)(2)

(5) Beijing-Chengde-Harqin Palace-Chifeng-Denglonghe Ranch-Zhirui-Huamugou Forest Farm-Wulan is different. The whole journey is 630 kilometers (including 228 kilometers from Chifeng to Wulan), and the whole journey is oil. Admission to Inner Mongolia 120 yuan/person. This route has good oil routes and mines, and foreign tourists are advised to take this route.
