Moderator: Good afternoon, everyone! I am very glad to have Mr. Dickson Hung give you a special speech today. First of all, let me introduce today's keynote speaker. Since 1980s, Mr Dickson Hung has been engaged in interior design for nearly 30 years. He can be said to be a pioneer and practitioner of interior design industry in China. Starting from 1998, I started to develop my personal career. On 200/kloc-0, I founded Dickson Hung Interior Design (HK) Co., Ltd. Now he is the founder of Dickson Hung Interior Design (HK) Co., Ltd. and an Italian DHA international design consulting company. Laozi said, "If you know the way of the world, you should be diligent", and Mr. Dickson Hung made a perfect annotation for "Be diligent" with his own life experience.

Mr. Dickson Hung's speech today is divided into two parts. The first part is a personal speech, and the second part is the interaction between the audience and Mr. Dickson Hung. Today, Mr. Hong also brought a personal monograph as a prize for the interactive session. The audience who actively participate in the interaction, have quick thinking and are unique can get this precious prize. Let's warmly welcome Mr. Dickson Hung to interpret the "Mission of Model House Design" for us, and please welcome Mr. Dickson Hung.

Good afternoon, distinguished guests, teachers and students from Dickson Hung. Just now, I talked to the person in charge of the Interior Designers Association about an idea. Because most of the audience I am facing today are students at school, what I said should be interactive and fun. If you have been listening to me, but my story may be off topic, or the content is out of touch with some ideas and questions you care about at this stage, then I think this feeling is not in place, so I think it is better to focus on the questions you care about and the questions you want to ask. At this stage, when you are studying at school, you may say to yourself, am I suitable for this major? After studying this major, how much room is there for career development in society?

For example, when I was young, I grew up in the parents of art. My brother and my parents both like art. When I was very young, I used to brush and wash dishes with my brother. I was only six or seven years old at that time. At that time, I had no feeling at all about art, but I was edified, so my feeling was that everyone's family background, social background and study background were different, and the majors that affected you would be different, and the development space would be different. Now I'm here to talk about my personal experience, which represents my personal point of view, not the point of view of other design circles. I just want to share my personal story with you today. In your young class, at this learning stage, I think it is most important to listen to some of my personal growth experiences, including my work experience, and get some inspiration from them.

Dickson Hung from now on, we are now entering the theme, called "the mission and development of model house design", so how did the model house develop and evolve? Thirty years ago, many places had many living environments with good people or better conditions. Most of them have had such a living environment, but since the reform and opening up, there has been such a demand for indoor space design in China, that is, the opportunity to enter such experimental sites. So, as I said before, a blank sheet of paper, how to do it? (PPT) At that time, we had many such situations. Now, when we go to Guomao, we can see the surrounding buildings and modern high-rise buildings in Luohu District. There were many such places at that time. Why? There was no large-scale real estate demolition at that time, so I think the picture at this time is very interesting. (PPT) At that time, motorcycles were the earliest maneuvers. Of course, there are more cars now. You can also look at the living environment at that time. In fact, up to now, if things like this are like now, I see that some cities still have some reservations, but they have basically been demolished a lot, so the previous story is still very interesting.

For example, the house in the city (PPT) is a small house, but it was left by the Republic of China or old China. At this time, such buildings are everywhere. In fact, what were most of our houses at that time? Most of them are houses, because they are planned economy and have units. What kind of house will be allocated to you if conditions permit? Most of them are allocated by workers, and there is also a house allocated by the state. Most of them have many such living environments. In fact, people's lives at that time were relatively simple, I think.

Let's talk about Shenzhen first. Houses like this are mostly residential welfare houses in the company, which are allocated to you. You can't get this house unless you get married. There are many conditions and policies. (PPT) Personally, I think it should be a house in Shenzhen 15 years ago. There are still many houses. The architecture at that time was actually the same as the design. For example, there are simple and decent buildings. At that time, I felt that European culture, Roman columns and the construction industry all had such a process. It's getting easier now. We can also look at the whole building. These elements and our design are constantly improving. (PPT) You can have a chance to see this position in the future. In Shenzhen, both the upper sand and the lower sand are near the sea. This building was built at least 0/2 years ago. The house faces the sea. At that time, it was very expensive, 89,000 square meters, and now it is 20,000 to 61,000 square meters. We see a lot of alternating things, all progressing and changing. What I mean here is that our interior design is perfected step by step under such an environment.

Dickson Hung (PPT) Have you seen or known this place? This is not Hawaii.

Student xiaomeisha.

What about real estate in Dickson Hung?

Student Vanke.

Dickson Hung Vanke? That's right. Let me show you another photo. This kind of building, with a concave inside, looks like a music score. Isn't it beautiful? This is a building in xiaomeisha 17, called Vanke, near the sea. It is very beautiful. We also went to Italy this year, and there is also a design alliance team in Italy. For example, Marco, our Italian designer, is a famous Italian designer. I went there in April this year, and then they came to China in June to have an exchange with their classmates in Tsinghua. (PPT) This is a design exchange between me and local Italian designers. When they saw it, they were surprised that we still have such a beautiful place in China. Of course, Italy and Europe are always beautiful, so he said "I'll visit you next time" and "welcome". That's right.

(PPT) This is when they came to China and Shanghai in June. We have had some exchanges in interior design, and we know how western culture and eastern culture are integrated in China. Our company also has Hong Kong designers, and then we often sit together and study some cases with our colleagues. (PPT) This is all about Hong Kong designers discussing some schemes with us, and this is an exchange with some French designers.

As I said just now, the design of model houses started from that era. That is to say, in China, I met the first batch of designers. I have two books about model houses. Let me explain here. In China, including Shenzhen, we talk about "model houses", which is what we call it, but in Hong Kong it is called …, so let the students answer, what is the name of the model houses in Hong Kong? Can you raise your hand if you know?

Student demonstration unit.

Dickson Hung Well, it actually means the same thing. What is the purpose of demonstration units and model houses? Actually, it's an advertisement for guests. It is a means for real estate developers to show their corporate culture and sales through model houses after making a real estate, which is shown by designers in this way. I have two books, one was published six years ago, called "Demonstration Units and Sales Centers", which is closely related to real estate. Later, two years ago, I published this book called Interior Design of Real Estate, which was compiled by the publishing house. I often regard this book as a way of communication and don't want to take it to the bookstore. There are designers to communicate-(PPT) This is Japanese designer Okazaki coming to our company, and this is Canadian Chinese designer Mr. Guo ... The above is the importance of foundation, the interactive relationship between art and space, and the application of basic skills in the future, including the improvement of innovation and communication.

Dickson Hung: Finally, we want to talk about a case, which is the model house we made. We have a property in Shekou, Shenzhen called Peninsula City-State. When we open the window, it is the sea and seagulls fly to a beautiful place. (PPT) This is when we get this floor plan, we have to make a style positioning ... We are still playing with these things, that is, how to use these elements in the model house by the sea. At the same time, we designed six model houses, and we made up a story and name for each model house, such as this is the captain's room and so on. We can see that this is the sea, and many elements are associated with the quaint feeling of the sea, including these furniture, and the things we want to design, including these accessories, must be well matched with the sea. This is a study.

(PPT) This set is in Southeast Asian style, with leisure first. How can we apply the Southeast Asian style to the model house, so that the owners can feel that this is a very relaxing home when they get home? We won't say that we will make many Buddha statues in Southeast Asian style, and many ancient elements will be included. How to combine its aesthetic feeling with some organic elements in today's life, such as color tone? For example, we use green corrugated glass to make something related to the sea.

And our furniture, (PPT) and this thing (ceiling fan), do you need air conditioning? Sure, but when I stand on the balcony and the sea is there, the natural wind may be more comfortable, right? I can use such elements to experience the natural romantic feeling of life, including these furniture and lights, including some small symbols, which need to be refined and very fine, and where to express the effect of this scene. (PPT) This is the relationship between the living room, and now more and more attention is paid to the effect of lighting. We know that any interior design, its indoor space looks like this during the day, but it will have another feeling when it comes to lighting at night, so we should consider it comprehensively in many aspects when designing the interior.

There are many things to consider in the model room. For example, I never know how reasonable the style is from the formulation of the style to the whole space inside. And furniture and lighting, and lights. What material is it made of? Interior design is more than that. You have to say carpet, fiber, wool and so on. It feels different when you step on it. For example, our current floors include solid wood, composite floors, composite floors and so on. So a designer-I want to talk about the basic training in front. When you master these designs, you must pay attention to the choice of materials. We will have the opportunity to discuss them in detail in the future.

(PPT) This model room is an open kitchen. Hunan cuisine and mala Tang can't be cooked here. This kind of oil smoke is very thick. I heard that this model house was finally bought by a Japanese client, because there are many foreign institutions in Shekou.

Dickson Hung: Actually, when I'm speaking, if students are interested in something or have any questions, they can directly raise them, and everyone can communicate freely. Besides, I thought you might be interested in this model house. It's a one-bedroom apartment with a small area of about 30,40 square meters. Of course, it is a little bigger than that in Hong Kong, because the model houses in Hong Kong are much smaller. That's how we felt when we came in. (PPT) It's very good to be separated by two spaces, because such a small room is for young customers to experience, but we have to express our sense of quality, design and life in this model room, which is very warm.

Just now, we saw a small house. Next, we will look at a large golf compound and roof garden. We can go and have a look. He has a lot of space, two floors and a duplex. This is a big picture. We should pay close attention to what kind of theme this model house is about. The style is similar to the Southeast Asia and Thai style in front of us, but it adds an element, that is, the modern living environment, using the language of Southeast Asia. After some improvement and refinement, I turned it into a more fashionable and modern design, so it is such a design. (PPT) We can see that the original civil engineering was not like this. All of them are sealed. As we all know, commercial housing is very rough when it is handed over to you. Therefore, when we design, we should take what should be taken away and tear down what should be torn down. Of course, we must respect architectural design. Don't move the immovable wall. Safety comes first. However, when art works, we can boldly express what you want to design and talk about. (PPT) This is the dining room, bedroom, bathroom and guest room.

Our company has been working for so many years, and many developers have come to us. For example, except Shenzhen, which is close to the Pearl River Delta, we often fly to other provinces to work for some developers in other provinces. This is from Nanjing. You should have heard of it. Suning Appliance not only makes electrical appliances, but also makes real estate. There are five-star hotels and real estate development. (PPT) This is a model house in the golf course and Zhongshan Golf Villa. He changed another style, called Jane European style, and some European cultures also participated in it. (PPT) It was like this when it was given to us. When each model house was given to us, it was given to us in the dead of winter. We should play and design it according to our experience. Let's do some analysis first, and all these arrangements should be considered, so there is so much room. The first floor is the first floor, the second floor is the guest room, and the third floor is actually the basement, which is used for entertainment and leisure. This is China people's favorite movie hall, small family cinema, fitness, western food, billiards and mahjong. We will do these analyses, and now use our original basic skills, that is, hand-drawn concept maps. We make the concept map into a 3D map, which is the master bedroom. It is more important for us to express it and realize it completely. This is the experience. You want to enter this industry and become a designer in the future. This aspect is very important. It is the formation of these concepts and the use of materials that will affect the success or failure of this model room. We also need to make these deepening maps. Some things are not available in the market. What if I can't buy it? We should be diligent on our own. As soon as we turn around, such as smallpox or places without ready-made lighting, you have to design. After the design is finished, you have to go to the lamp manufacturer to customize it, and then install it after you come back, because there is nothing suitable for you when you take it in the specialty store. Even if there is, in case the scale is not enough, we have to design this lamp. (PPT) This is a good real scene. Is this speed ok, fast or slow?

Students can.

Dickson Hung: This is the relationship between the restaurant and the kitchen. The relationship between the restaurant and the kitchen is open. Let's look at the relationship between guest rooms. This is the bathroom in the captain's room. It spent1.200 million to buy this villa and asked it to be renovated. Just now, we talked about the basement. This is the film and television hall. Cigars and red wine are all below. You can also read and relax in it. This is the host's leisure place.

Below Dickson Hung are some demonstration housing projects in other provinces. Look at them one by one. (PPT) This suite is also a large apartment, with a small apartment in front and a large apartment space behind. (PPT) This is also a villa. It is located in Changsha City, Hunan Province, near the river. The scenery is very good. Look at its feeling. It's not the same as before. It is very modern, stable and luxurious. The so-called luxury means a little comfort and luxury, including every corner of the kitchen. We must carefully design this bathroom, which is different from the previous one.

We just talked about this kind of design, because we are faced with the designs and various requirements of different developers in different regions. As a designer, this style is just to mention, there must be all kinds of contacts at ordinary times. (PPT) Let's take a look at this set with a little Chinese modern style. What we are looking at now is mostly villa space. First of all, we will also have the concept of these elements entering our model house in China. There is a picture in front of us. What is this? As mentioned earlier, we encountered this situation again, that is, the hollow chandelier could not find a suitable one, and later we saw that it was customized through a design. I also have a completely different feeling from before. Let's keep watching. It's also a villa, with four floors. This feeling gives people a special feeling, that is, the owner is very domineering and has a large space, including collection, living conditions and identity. (PPT) This is the master room, this is the guest room and this is the study.

Recently, I also made two sets of model houses in Guangzhou. We can go and have a look. The flat model houses also bring different feelings. The style of this building can only be said that the requirements of the model house are different. We convey this picture from the perspective of design and visual effects in design and application. Personally, I prefer this set of feelings, because it is also customized, and customization will have its own ideas in it, but there are many objective conditions, so developers can't let you customize everything. Therefore, when choosing materials and articles, we must match them first and second. Some things must be done and some things can only be done, because most of them don't give you time to customize everything.

Here's another piece, I'll just say it, which is the carpet in the study. There is some communication between it and the China model, so this piece was also designed by myself, and then I settled in the carpet factory. I think only in this way can we finish the design vividly. Even the carpet was designed by me. How nice, isn't it?

My introduction to model houses has come to an end, because we have done too much, and it is impossible to show them here one by one. Let me sum up what I said today, mainly about the importance of students' basic skills and their application in work practice in the future, including our theme model house. We can see that its development has changed step by step from 15 years ago without a model house to 10 years, 5 years, and today. We designers should have such a mission. With the development of social times, how can we do our own innovative design to adapt to the development of society?

Finally, I prepared some things other than designing a model house. I want to show you. what do you think?

Hello, students.

The model house in Dickson Hung made by our company is very individual, creative, independent and full of story connotation, so it has been made step by step, and now it has developed from a small space to a large space. What? Such as office buildings, banks, large clubs, restaurants and hotels.

That last sentence is my personal feeling. (PPT) Give it to the students here as encouragement. My personal experience is that the success of my career lies not in my academic qualifications, but in the intensity of my study. Ok, if you have any ideas in your mind, or anything you think you can communicate, you can bring them up.

Question Mr. Hong, what do you think of the future of interior design industry?

Dickson Hung, I'm telling you, the situation is good. Why? Because interior design is inseparable from human living space, especially with the development of society, the prospect of interior design in China is bright. Our society is constantly innovating and developing. With the development of society, our interior design industry is also colorful. Besides, are you studying now? Do everyone really want to be an interior designer? I think it's up to you. Some people say I will do it, maybe for a job. Some people are thinking, I have always liked design, and I will go on no matter how hard it is, it depends on your study.

Question: I'd like you to introduce your experience in talking about this topic.

Dickson Hung: According to your formula, you have made a model house, haven't you?

Audience. Yes

However, Dickson Hung failed in bidding and didn't get the project, did she?

Some viewers understood. According to your experience, what should the bidding process be like?

Dickson Hung: I know what you mean, but I'm sorry to tell you, because I've never bid like this before. I've done it myself for so many years, and many customers have recognized you. For example, Yitian Real Estate has many customers like us. When he deals with you, he thinks you are very attentive. First, he thinks you are very professional. Second, he thinks my building will sell well, so he thinks it will sell well.

Originally, I wanted to talk about a topic, that is, it is also very suitable for students to talk about this issue in the process of studying and even taking part in work. My topic is "Do Your Design Well with Intention and Innovation", that is, there must be a way to do your design well with Intention and Innovation. Why do you say that? As I said before, do the students sitting here definitely want to pursue this major? Don't you ask others "Dad, is this suitable for me?" Or ask mom or classmates and friends, "Is this suitable for me?" First of all, you have to understand in your heart whether I like this business or not. Why do we say that learning this major is bittersweet, bittersweet and sweet? But the most important thing is to enjoy it. It doesn't matter if you are tired, because you are happy. How can you feel tired? So I took it seriously in my heart at first. In the process of work and study, how to understand innovation by adding innovation instead of being conservative? This is a breakthrough. When you break through, you achieve something here, people recognize you, and you are a successful designer.

As far as I know, many people in Shenzhen are very concerned about Feng Shui. What do you think of Feng Shui?

Dickson Hung: We will encounter this problem when designing. When we were halfway through, the boss told you to stop. He said, "I hired a feng shui master, and he said that this door can't be opened like this, but it should be opened like this." What should I do? Then I must listen to him. We often hear and meet such a landlord and ask us to "stop" halfway to talk about this problem, and we will also communicate with him. I'm not a Feng Shui master, but I personally think that Feng Shui is a good thing for us to inherit the national culture in China. There are many doorways in it, and my personal feeling is actually to give people a comfortable feeling. For example, walking into a space is very comfortable in all aspects of layout and space. I think it has something to do with feng shui. In fact, we are not talking about feng shui, but we have been paying attention to feng shui when designing.

The host is very grateful to Mr. Dickson Hung for his wonderful speech. Let me briefly summarize first. Mr. Hong explained the importance of foundation to a designer with his profound industry experience, and also brought us wonderful design cases. Let's thank Mr Dickson Hung again for his speech with warm applause.

A few listeners who have just participated in the interaction can get an album signed by Mr. Hong, and today's speech is over. Thank you all.
