One-day tour guide to Huaqing Palace in Huaqing Pool

Huachi and Huaqing Palace are famous scenic spots in Xi 'an, as well as palace architectural relics left over from the Tang Dynasty. They are of great historical research value and ornamental value, attracting tourists from all over the world every year. Here is a detailed strategy for you.

Huaqing

Datang Huaqing City

Once upon a time, Lintong was a representative of Xi 'an tourism, and the most popular was the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, the eighth wonder in the world. Its large scale, numerous burial pits and rich connotations once shocked the world. The same name as the Terracotta Warriors is Huaqing Pool. In The Longest Day In Chang'an, the prototype of the hot spring palace that saints and Yang Zhenren yearned for was Huaqing Pool, also called Huaqing Palace.

I don't know how many times I have been to Lintong. I remember that every time I take bus No.36 and pass Huaqing Pool, I see the ruins in front of the scenic spot. Now I'm here again, and the ruins have become a square, which is Huaqing City in Datang today. Datang Huaqing City is actually a big square, which can also be understood as a tourist transit station. The statue in the middle of the square is the dance form of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty and Yang Guifei.

if you come here by car, don't drive directly to Huaqing pool, you can continue to drive to the square. It is more convenient to park here with fewer people, but when you leave the parking lot, there will be the words "Huaqing Pool Entrance" all the way. In fact, it is still far from the scenic spot, because the merchants in the square just want to attract you to pass by their stores. If you don't want to spend money, you can go straight to the entrance of the scenic spot.

Dream back to the Tang Dynasty

In The Longest Day In Chang'an's play, Li Bi once said, "The sage should leave Chang 'an and live in Lishan Hot Spring Palace. "The same place in this hot spring palace is Huaqing Pool in Lintong today. Huaqing Palace in Tang Dynasty was the largest detached palace in Chang 'an City in Tang Dynasty. What is leaving the palace? Literally, it means a palace built outside the capital for the emperor to live permanently, and also refers to the place where the emperor lived when he visited.

According to legend, Huaqing Pool was huge more than 1, years ago, and then Huaqing Palace was even more luxurious than the imperial palace in the Tang Dynasty. Every emperor is a hedonist. The earliest use of Huaqing Palace was used by the emperor of Tang Dynasty to escape the heat and keep out the cold. It is a natural resting place, built on Mount Li, with the mountain facing the water. The buildings in Huaqing Pool that we see today were all built later, but we can still see the outstanding talents of the architects in the Tang Dynasty. Such a huge building complex is built on the mountain, but it is not messy at all. Up and down are patchy, and the buildings are patchy. Make full use of the geographical advantages of Mount Li and enjoy the prosperity of rivers and mountains.

In order to facilitate the emperor to travel between Lintong and Chang 'an, a special road was built to connect Huaqingchi, Xingqing Palace and Daming Palace. Up to now, the emperor went to court in Daming Palace in the morning, visited Xingqing Palace in the afternoon and went to Huaqing Pool to soak in hot springs in the evening. It's beautiful. Huaqingchi's architecture also skillfully uses the terrain of Mount Li, and the building is very three-dimensional. When the emperor climbed the mountain, he could see the beautiful scenery of Chang 'an, which also satisfied the emperor's wish. Other mountains are dwarfed under the sky.

Lotus Hall in Huachi

The heyday of Huachi's separation from the palace was when Xuanzong was in power. It is said that he travels here every October. "Thousands of flags are taken by Yuanye, and the clouds and trees are shining." "Eighty-one cars must be ridden, and there is a feast every night." It can be seen from this statement that the scale of the trip at that time was so large that all the administrative organs of Chang 'an moved to Huaqingchi and became the second Chang 'an City. At that time, Li Longji had been in office for 45 years and had been to Huaqing Pool for 43 times.

Li Longji built Huaqing Pool for his own amusement, but once upon a time, the Anshi Rebellion broke his dream. After the sudden change of political situation in Tang Dynasty, Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty fell from the historical stage, and Huaqing Palace declined rapidly. Emperors after the Tang Dynasty paid little attention to Huaqing Palace. By the Song Dynasty, the buildings in Huaqingchi were very shabby. Later, in the Yuan Dynasty, some people organized non-governmental forces and spent 15 years repairing Huaqing Pool. Until the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the original building of Huaqing Pool had already disappeared. It was not until 1959 after liberation that the government began to build it, and we saw the beautiful Huaqing Pool today.

The first hot spring in the world

Besides the magnificent buildings of the Tang Dynasty, the most famous place in Huaqing is the hot spring. According to historical records, the former Huaqing Palace was backed by Mount Li, facing the Weihe River, and built a huge palace with hot springs as the center and relying on Mount Li. Even in the Tang Dynasty, there were many hot springs in China. Why did Xuanzong only love the hot springs in Huaqingchi at that time? "But the spring night was short, the sun rose too early, and the emperor abandoned the early dynasty." What is the charm of the first spring in the world?

We all know that Mount Li is a scenic spot, but what we don't know is that Mount Li is actually a volcano! Take it easy. You've never heard of Mount Li eruption, have you? Yes, Mount Li is an extinct volcano with abundant geothermal resources. The hot spring water near the volcano is rich in various minerals and has therapeutic effects on human body. However, in ancient times, there was no running water, let alone hot springs. Drinking water is a luxury, so soaking in hot springs was a beautiful thing that only the emperor could enjoy at that time.

Xingchen Pool Site

Today, in Huaqing Lake Scenic Area, we can still see the former site of the Royal Tang Chi, including Lotus Soup of Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty, Begonia Soup of Yang Guifei and Star Soup of Emperor Taizong. Not only did Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty like to take a bath, but Zhou Youwang and Qin Shihuang before the Tang Dynasty also liked to take a bath here. Until the Xuanzong period of the Tang Dynasty, the emperor built a palace here, so that the emperor could have a warm place to spend the winter.

It's happy to take a bath at Shangchi Site. It's a great honor to have the opportunity to take a bath with the emperor. There is a Shangshichi site in the corner of the site, which was used for bathing by officials who provided imperial meals and other officials in the Tang Dynasty. This Tangchi is separated from the nearby bath pool of Emperor Taizong by stones. There is also a hot spring story related to Yang Guifei. It is said that Yang Guifei was injured in the forehead at that time, and it became more and more serious. Because the hot spring in Huaqingchi contains sulfur, it needs to be washed with hot spring water, which is helpful for the recovery of the injury.

There are still hot springs spewing out of Huaqing Pool today. If you want to feel the charm of hot springs, you can take a bath in Huaqing Yutang Resort Hotel, feel the emperor's eyes and enjoy the glorious hot spring experience service.

Xi' an incident happened.

During the Republic of China, Chiang Kai-shek went to Shaanxi twice and lived in Huaqing Palace, where he planned various high-level military meetings. It was here that Chiang Kai-shek put forward his famous wrong national policy of "be quiet before hitting". On the occasion of national peril, two patriotic generals, Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng, launched the Xi 'an Incident, which shocked China and foreign countries.

The loophole of Xi 'an An incident

Today, you can still see the holes left by the incident on the building glass here. Of course, Yang is going to catch Chiang Kai-shek here. Chiang Kai-shek fled to Lishan in a panic, and was finally captured at Bin Jiange, which opened a chapter of cooperation between countries.

The once-in-a-lifetime stage play Song of Eternal Sorrow

Huaqingchi has a tragic beauty, which comes from Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty and Yang Guifei. It is a long narrative poem by Bai Juyi, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, which vividly describes the love tragedy between Xuanzong and Yang Guifei in the Tang Dynasty. Based on this poem, the scenic spot also designed a famous domestic stage play-Song of Eternal Sorrow.
