30 Datong Laoye Mountain

After a night in Xining, we said goodbye to the "Far Eastern Hotel" the next morning and arrived at "Datong Laoye Mountain" in about half an hour.

Datong refers to "Datong County". Laoye Mountain has been famous for its "green pines, winding stairs, lingering rivers and beautiful scenery" since ancient times.

On the day of the holiday, because of greed, I borrowed a lot of books from the library and carried a bucket of oil. When I went down the stairs, I actually bent my back. I stayed in bed at home for several days and received massage therapy. Only slightly improved. Before setting off, I still had a little pain and I didn’t dare to exert any force. In addition, it is located on a plateau of more than 2,000 meters. If you want to climb Laoye Mountain, you will feel a little out of breath when you climb onto the small platform with dozens of steps. Looking up at the stairs rising to the sky, you will feel a sense of awe. I thought to myself, I would save my energy and avoid altitude sickness, and just test the water on the first day. People who climb up look down at the scenery from a high place, so let's look at the scenery from a low place up.

Looking up from the lower place, each set of stairs has about twenty or thirty steps, with a small platform in between for tourists to rest and catch their breath.

Climbing up the stairs, the stairs must be very steep. Visually, the slope is about 45 degrees or more, extending far and high, and the highest point cannot be seen.

The trees on both sides are so lush that they cannot be identified, but the word "green" can be summed up, and there is no sudden sense of coolness like the scenery elsewhere. Because on the plateau, it is naturally cool and green as far as the eye can see. I just feel relaxed and happy, which is better than wearing the scorching sun on my head and sweating on my back during the summer vacation.

Gui Gui and I were taking pictures freely at the foot of Laoye Mountain. There were also a few people like us, so we all took a group photo in front of the big stone marked "Laoye Mountain". Behind the big stone is a large tree with lush green branches and luxuriant branches. Everyone in the photo is smiling, because this is the comfort that blooms from the heart.

The regret of not climbing Laoye Mountain gave us a lot of time browsing at the bottom of Laoye Mountain.

Come out from the foot of Laoye Mountain and go to the square outside. We first went to appreciate some words and pictures on the wall, and then saw a billboard: Datong Laoye Mountain held a "Hua'er" concert on June 6, and then we understood what the tour guide was talking about before: "Hua'er Hua" "Er" is the name of the concert, but it is not a flower show. I am a little relieved that there are no colorful flowers rushing towards my face when I got off the car.

There was a long line of charity lottery booths about ten meters in front of the billboard. I didn’t know what they were doing at first. Someone waved me over to buy a lottery ticket. I was a little tempted and wanted to do some charity work on the plateau and make a small fortune by the way.

The team leader was on the side, trying to dissuade you, just forget it. I'm worried that if you win five million, you won't be able to withdraw it for a while, so why do you have to stay for a month and delay your trip? Come to think of it, I had to give up the opportunity of five million.

We were still a few minutes late because we were waiting where we were and not where we got off the bus. It was so shameful!

The first stop was not to the top of the mountain, and we missed a lot of scenery. Laoye Mountain was not very impressive, only pleasant. However, we saved our strength and laid the foundation for adapting to the plateau. We look forward to more beautiful scenery.
