Can I open a hotel with an electronic identity?

Legal analysis: Electronic identity can stay in hotels, but it must be used within the validity period. Each city has different requirements for electronic identity staying in hotels.

Legal basis: Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Resident Identity Cards.

Article 6 China citizens who have reached the age of 16 shall go through the formalities of applying for resident identity cards at the household registration authority where their permanent residence is located.

Citizens who have reached the age of 16 shall apply for resident identity cards within 30 days from their birthdays.

Article 11 Where a citizen's permanent residence changes between the administrative areas of this Municipality and within the administrative area of this county, he/she may not renew his/her identity card.

Where a citizen's permanent residence moves out of the municipal area of this municipality and the administrative area of this county, he/she shall renew his/her identity card at the same time as registering his/her residence.

Twentieth citizens need to prove their identity when handling the following matters, they can show their identity cards:

(2) household registration;

(3) military service registration;

(4) marriage registration;

(5) Admission and employment;

(6) Handling notarization affairs;

(seven) to the border management area;

(8) Going through exit formalities;

(nine) to participate in litigation activities;

(ten) for motor vehicles and ships driving license and driving license, non motor vehicle driving license;

(eleven) for individual business license;

(12) Handling personal credit affairs;

(thirteen) to participate in social insurance and receive social relief;

(fourteen) to go through the formalities of taking a civil aviation plane;

(fifteen) to go through the registration formalities of accommodation hotels;

(sixteen) to withdraw remittances and mail;

(17) Consigned goods;

(eighteen) to handle other affairs.
