The transportation hub near Shanghai Station of Shanghai Metro.

Shanghai stands at Moling Road, Zhabei District, Shanghai. Established in 1908 and completed in 1909. At present, Shanghai Railway Station is built in 1987, which was reconstructed from the former Shanghai East Railway Station and belongs to Shanghai Railway Bureau. It is the railway station with the largest passenger flow in Shanghai. Shanghai residents usually call it the "new passenger station" to distinguish the old Shanghai Railway Station (namely the old North Station).

The main station is located at Zhongxing Road 1666, Zhabei District, and the surrounding traffic is very convenient. Shanghai Railway Station and Rail Transit 1, Line 3 and Line 4 are on the east side of the main station. It is an important "window" for Shanghai's super-large public transportation infrastructure and land transportation gateway.

There are dozens of modern commercial facilities in the business circle of Shanghai Railway Station, such as Famous Commercial Building, Huanlong Commercial Building, Shanghai Plaza Great Wall Hotel, Kerry City that Never Sleeps, Meixin Huadong Hotel, Shanghai Puxi Intercontinental Hotel, Sun Department Store, Wennanshe and Shanghai Post and Telecommunications Building. There are dozens of internationally renowned enterprises and more than 200 Chinese and foreign enterprises and offices. It is also the office of Zhabei District Government.
