Gan Shang Zhu Xianfang: Pioneer of Modern Textile Industry in China

Zhu Xianfang (1887— 1968) was born in Linchuan, Fuzhou, Jiangxi. In his early years, he founded the Textile Technology Training Institute, compiled the first textile science and technology book "Theory and Practical Textile Science" in China, opened the first Jiujiang nine planets cotton mill in Jiangxi, took charge of the second, fifth and seventh cotton mills in Shen Xin, Shanghai, took over the first cotton mill in Hankou and the Chongqing textile mill, founded the amateur textile schools in Hudong and Huxi, and initiated and organized the China Textile Society, and was elected as chairman. After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), he served as director of the Planning Department of the Ministry of Textile Industry.

Wang Zihua (1925-2008) is a native of Qiuxi Township, Linchuan County, Fuzhou, Jiangxi Province. The founder of Taiwan Province Qishunhua Iron and Steel Company is called "the king of ship breaking in the world" by the industry in Taiwan Province Province, and is one of the top ten richest people in Taiwan Province Province.
