Tongqing Building was founded by 19 Huizhou merchants on 1925. Cheng Yuyou, a native of Jixi, Huizhou, was elected as the manager. It is located in Zhong Er Street, Wuhu City, and features Huizhou cuisine along the Yangtze River.

According to the local chronicles before liberation, in 1932, the master of Tongqinglou invented the steamed stuffed bun made of instant noodles, which rewrote the history of China people making steamed stuffed bun with hair flour and spread it to the whole country.
