Zhengding is one of the Three Great Towns in the North. It has a long history, profound cultural heritage, and many places of interest and is well worth visiting. When you come to Zhengding, you can’t miss Kaiyuan Temple, Yanghe Tower, Linji Temple and other scenic spots. In addition to pursuing historical sites, you should also taste local food to get to know the city better. Regarding transportation

If you are flying directly to Shijiazhuang Airport, there is an airport bus to Zhengding County and the same route back. The fare is 20 yuan.

When I came back, I went to the Venus Holiday Hotel to wait for the bus, which is the closest point to the ancient city of Zhengding. The driver told me that the last airport bus to the airport was at 4 pm! About the weather

Although Zhengding County itself attaches great importance to environmental protection, it is located in Hebei Province, which is surrounded by heavy industry.

So the air quality is unstable and there is haze from time to time. There had been severe smog in May before I went there, and the pollution levels were off the charts.

So it is recommended to check the recent weather forecast before going to Zhengding. It will not be good if you encounter haze! Recommended itinerary

During the day and a half in Zhengding, I tried hard to use my feet Measure those traces of history.

On the first day, Kaiyuan Temple---Yanghe Tower---Linji Temple---Guanghui Temple---South Gate--looking back at various night scenes

On the second day, Longxing Temple---Tianning Temple---Zhengding County Confucian Temple---Tang Fengdong Monument---Zhengding Confucian Temple About accommodation

I chose Yanshan for this accommodation From a hardware point of view, the express hotel can be regarded as a guest house at best, but its advantage lies in its excellent location. Four pagodas, one temple, one city wall and two Confucian temples are all surrounding it within a radius of 2 kilometers, as well as various other facilities

Zhengding gourmet food, very convenient. About food

There are also various snacks and delicacies, such as Wang’s bacon, Wang’s old chicken, Wang’s traditional siomai, and Hao’s pork ribs. List of attractions

Kaiyuan Temple

Kaiyuan Temple is the Jingguan Temple mentioned in the previous story. It was renamed Jiehui Temple in the 11th year of Emperor Kaihuang’s reign in the Sui Dynasty (591 AD). In response to the call of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, it was renamed Kaiyuan Temple.

When you come down from the steps, although the Tang Tower and the Bell Tower are in front of you, you still have to look at the huge __ in front of you. This was unearthed in the west of Qianjie Road, Zhengdingfu in 2000. It was later moved to Kaiyuan Temple

It is actually the base of a stone tablet. __ has a plump body and an astonishing weight. It is 8.4 meters long, 3.2 meters wide, 2.6 meters high and weighs 107 tons. It is the largest in China

. Next to it is the remaining stele head, which weighs 14 tons. It is shaped like two dragons playing with a bead with two claws like eagles, and in the middle is a flame-shaped orb wrapped around branches, which is very exquisite.

Yanghe Tower

First there was Yanghe Tower, and the Yanghe Tower we see now is the rebuilt one, spanning Zhengding

On South Street inside the south gate of the city . The original Yanghe Tower was built in the late Jin and early Yuan Dynasties, and was repaired in the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. The seven-column building is built on a high and open brick platform. There are round-arched openings under the platform, one on the left and one on the left, allowing pedestrians, carriages and horses to pass through. Its layout is slightly similar to that of Beijing

The end gate of Tiananmen, but in the middle of the south There is also a platform for the Guandi Temple to be built. What is sad is that Yanghe Building was demolished in the 1960s. Although it has been rebuilt today, I still feel that something is missing!

Linji Temple

The previous story mentioned that Linji Temple is one of the oldest existences in Zhengding

, began in the Eastern Wei Dynasty, and in the eighth year of Dazhong in the Tang Dynasty (854), monk Yixuan founded the Linji Sect here. Because of the steep wind and steep peaks of the Linji Sect, it became famous at home and abroad and became the most widely spread sect of Zen. Every year, eminent monks from the Linji Sect from Asia, Europe, Australia and even North America come to pay homage to the ancestral home. Therefore

Zhengding Linji Temple is the world's earliest Buddhist Linji monastery and the ancestral temple of the world's Linji sect.

The Chengling Pagoda, one of the four Zhengding Pagodas, is the relic pagoda of Monk Yixuan. It was built in the Tang Dynasty. It is a brick octagonal nine-level dense eaves style pagoda with a height of 30.47 meters. It was built during the Dading period of Jin Dynasty (l161). Renovated in 1189
