How to use Jianshan

Jianshan is called "flower arrangement" in Chinese traditional flower arrangement, which was used in Qing Dynasty. It is called "Jianshan" in Japanese flower arrangement. In oriental flower arrangement, it is a basic technique to use Jianshan as flower arrangement.

In Qing Dynasty, Shen wrote in Six Chapters of a Floating Life: "When washing dishes, if bleached pine, torreya bark and oil are used, the rice ash is boiled first, the glue is collected, the nails are pressed upward with copper sheets, the paste is cremated, and the copper sheets are stuck in the dishes." Once the weather is cold, tie the flowers with wire and insert them on the nails ... "This is the predecessor of the fixed appliance" Jianshan "for oriental flower arrangement. At present, the sword mountain used for flower arrangement is made of copper needles fixed on lead blocks of different shapes, with different sizes and shapes, and is suitable for different containers. Before arranging flowers, put Jianshan into a flowerpot, add water until the needle can't reach Jianshan, and then insert the flower branches on Jianshan to make them absorb water. When there is little water, add water to the flowerpot, so that the flowers can absorb more water than those inserted in the flower paste, and the flower branches will last longer.

Jianshan is an auxiliary tool for arranging a large number of thick needles on a rectangular or circular metal plate, which is generally small and flat. The use history of Jianshan Mountain is not long, and it only developed in the Meiji era (AD 1868 to AD 19 12) when flowers were popular.

The characteristics of Jianshan:

1. The upper part of Jianshan is a copper nail, which is used to fix flowers. The base is made of lead and tin, which increases the sense of weight and will not rust in water.

2. It is better for Jianshan to have dense and sharp copper nails. Some Jianshan sockets are equipped with rubber, and the bottom is more stable, so it is not easy to slide and wear (dirt must be removed after use, bent needles must be corrected, and placed in a dry place to avoid rust).

Jianshan Mountain is mainly used for flower arrangement, but when the flower mud in some flower arrangement works is difficult to hide, Jianshan Mountain is more suitable as a fixture. Moreover, Jianshan can be reused, which is very suitable as a tool for arranging flowers at home.

Although flower shops basically don't use Jianshan, it is also possible to master the usage of Jianshan.

This paper introduces the basic flower arrangement method of Jianshan Mountain and the fixing method of slender flower material on the flower stem.

1, the placement method of Jianshan

The picture shows the basic placement method of Jianshan, that is, putting Jianshan in the center of the container. However, the premise of this arrangement is to decorate a fixed position that does not need to be moved, such as placing it in a blank space on the floor.

The second method is to put the other mountain upside down and fix the middle mountain upside down with the weight of this mountain. This method is suitable for flowers with a certain weight.

The third method is to horizontally lay a branch with a length greater than the width of the container on the Jianshan Mountain, and fix both ends of the branch around the back of the container with metal wires. This method is quite special.

1. Jianshan fixed flower material method (vertical flower arrangement)

When fixing the flower material vertically on the sword mound, the key point is to cut off the bottom of the stem of the flower material horizontally and insert it vertically on the sword mound. The needle in Jianshan will be inserted into the stem to fix the flower material.

Insert the stem vertically into Jianshan. The cut at the bottom of the stem is horizontal, and the needle in Jianshan will pierce the cut, which is easy to fix the flower material.

3, Jianshan fixed flower material method (oblique flower arrangement)

When you want to fix the flower material obliquely, cut the bottom of the stem into an inclined plane, insert it vertically into Jianshan Mountain, and then put the incision obliquely upward at the bottom of the flower material. When the incision is upward, the needle of Jianshan can be inserted in other places except the incision of the stem, which makes it easier to fix the flower material. If the incision is downward, the weight of the flower material will give the bottom end of the stem an upward force, which is easy to fall off. Like inserting flower paste, the key point of this method is not to make a mistake about the orientation of the incision.

Cut the bottom of the stem into an inclined plane and insert it vertically into the Jianshan Mountain.

Then tilt the incision slightly upward with the bottom as the fulcrum. Because the weight of the flower material is pressed, other positions of the stem are also inserted into the needle, and the flower material is fixed.

4, Jianshan fixed branch method (vertical flower arrangement)

The method of cutting wood is basically the same as that of vertical flower arranging wood. It's just that the incision is cut differently. Cut a cross at the bottom of the branch with scissors.

Insert the flower branches vertically into Jianshan. Branches are more likely to be inserted into Jianshan after cross-cutting at the bottom, and the contact surface with water is wider.

5, Jianshan fixed branch method (oblique flower arrangement)

Insertion is the same as the vertical arrangement of flowers. After cutting off the slope at the bottom of the branch, insert it vertically into Jianshan, with the emphasis on the slightly upward inclination of the flower material.

6, Jianshan fixed slender plants method (vertical flower arrangement)

Leaves-watching plants such as Chiba orchids with slender stems and delicate flowers such as daisies cannot be directly inserted into Jianshan Mountain. In this case, the stems of chrysanthemum, gerbera and other flowers with soft and almost hollow stems can be used as pillars to insert slender flowers into Jianshan Mountain. This method is called "covering". For flowers with slender stems that cannot be directly fixed on Jianshan Mountain, the stems of flowers with nearly hollow stems such as Gerbera jamesonii should be used. Insert the flower material directly into Jianshan through the hollow stem.

7, Jianshan fixed slender plant method (oblique flower arrangement) Prepare a section of rose stem, and pass the stem of Chiba orchid through the stem of rose. Then use scissors to cut the two together into oblique incisions.

Insert vertically into Jianshan.

Tilt the incision slightly upward.

That's settled. Inclined flowers are firmly fixed on the Jianshan Mountain.
