What are the delicious Chongqing delicacies in Chongqing? What are the special snacks in Chongqing?

I am a real foodie. As a foodie, the first thing you do when you come to Chongqing is to walk through the streets and alleys to satisfy your various food needs. Being able to keep eating is the happiest thing for me. I am also the kind of person who does not gain weight even if I eat too much. Don't envy me!

Sunset on the Jialing River

Sleeping in Chongqing Hongyadong Hotel is actually a viewing room on the seventh floor, opposite the Jialing River. Looking down from the balcony, the night view on both sides of the Taiwan Strait is beautiful. The strangest thing is that the hotel lobby is actually on the 11th floor, obviously seen from the road! We wanted to go back to our room, but we had to take the elevator down. I remember there is a saying that in the mountain city of Chongqing, there is no sunny day and no three feet of flat land. We have an intuitive understanding.

Jialing Night View

Hongyadong is a folk street in Chongqing, where you can eat, drink and have fun, just like Ming and Qing Street in Tongli. However, with the characteristics of a mountain city, the streets here are layered one by one, and you can browse on each floor. Dinner is of course Chongqing hot pot. Afraid of spicy food, I dare not try the authentic old hot pot. Went to Little Swan on the 4th floor and chose Yuanyang Hotpot. It tasted great, but I thought that was it.

Night view of Hongyadong

The entire fourth floor is full of delicious food, including various Chongqing snacks. Adhering to the policy of having enough, I went for a late-night snack. When I went downstairs at 11 o'clock, I found that all the shops were packing up and getting ready to close. Don't give up. Anyway, the Liberation Monument is right opposite the hotel. Just go to Bayi Food City. It’s not far anyway. But it's actually closed. Don’t Chongqing people eat midnight snacks? Going back angrily, something strange happened. Unable to find the way back, I ended up walking in a big circle. He obviously came from the west side of the hotel, but finally came back from the east side. The roads in Chongqing are so weird, and the navigation doesn’t even work. When you arrive in Chongqing, you can only use the most primitive method to find your way: ask for directions!

Hong Yadong Food Street

It is said that people from Chongqing and Sichuan will bring various secret peppers with them when they travel far. What they really can't carry is the various spicy strips. When I left, I bought a lot of these spicy strips as gifts for friends.

Ciqikou

In fact, I smelled the smell of these delicacies when I was far away from Ciqikou. When I walked in, I found that there were quite a few people, but my friends around me said they were only a handful.

Ciqikou

The bustling crowd

For those who don’t like spicy food, it’s impossible to get into a chili shop like this. As soon as I walked in, I felt choked.

It feels like a store like Chongqing Xiaomiao can be found within a few steps. In fact, the taste is almost the same, mainly because of the craftsmanship of the chefs. The first time I watched it, it felt like a juggling act.

A place specializing in all kinds of chili peppers and chili sauces.

There is a lot to eat, and there are some nice little attractions around. If you have the chance, you can also go and play, it is quite unique.

We only have today in Chongqing. How to arrange this day so that it is not wasted as much as possible? We must make the most of this policy. Our arrangement is Ciqikou, Zhazidong, and Bai Gongguan. Not far from the hotel entrance, take Metro Line 1 to Ciqikou in half an hour. The bustling Ciqikou is an old street in Chongqing. It gave me the same impression as Tongli Ming and Qing Street, but there was a spicy smell floating in the street. The chili peppers and hot pot bases in the shops along the street told me: this is Chongqing.

Take a taxi to Zhazidong, then take a taxi to Bai Mansion after shopping. One way is ten dollars. After shopping, we took a taxi back to Ciqikou and took the rail transit back to the hotel. Unexpectedly, there was a small cake and a letter on the coffee table in the room. Today is the teacher's birthday. The hotel specially sent a cake and a congratulatory letter. This thoughtful service is really touching.

This time I stayed in Chongqing for two more nights just to try Chongqing noodles and celebrate a special birthday for a teacher in Chongqing. Good times always fly by. I'm going home tomorrow!
