What's interesting about Tasmania?
I came to Australia for 8 years and arranged a trip to Tasmania for the first time. The time is 20 17 1 month, and the wedding has just ended, just taking my parents around Australia. Send a small picture to commemorate, 20 17 1.05, married.
After the wedding, we flew to Hamilton Island in Queensland for a few days.
Then Hamilton Island-Melbourne, to support the "unexpected" trip of the next Australian Open 17 seed; Then Melbourne-Hobart:

_ _ Some tips Generally speaking, the difficulty coefficient of self-driving in Tasmania is not high, and it will not be very tired (about 200 kilometers per day on average). The scenery is beautiful, there are mountains and water, and we are particularly lucky. When we go to any scenic spot, it is sunny (the kind that cools down and rains the next day), which is especially suitable for taking our parents on an "old group" trip.
Because the temperature is almost as south as the South Pole, it is cooler than normal summer, so be sure to bring long sleeves. Wearing short sleeves is definitely not possible ~ summer is the best time to go, and winter will be very cold. But it's good to see the snow.

It is also very important for modern people that the signal in Tasmania is not very good. Because we all use Vodafone calling cards, except Hobart and Launceston, we are in a state of no signal at all ... Let's experience that there is no cell phone signal and the hotel network is unstable, which is a state of wanting to cry.
We paid attention to it. Tasmania should be the most popular choice. I saw many optus advertisements in places where Vodafone didn't have any signal. Therefore, if you come to Australia to apply for a temporary card, optus is recommended.
Finally, the bright spot came. My father-in-law's domestic mobile phone card is networked all over the world. On this remote island of Tasmania, the signal is extremely strong and stable.

1 2 Hobart (Port Arthur+Mount Wellington) Hobart is the capital of Tasmania with a small population, but it is actually the second oldest city in Australia. As we all know, Tasmania has a famous prison site-Port Arthur, so the city can give people an indescribable sense of history everywhere.
Port Arthur
1. Port Arthur
Port Arthur is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Tasmania. In the early days of British colonization, this was a prison for exiled felons. Now the prison site here has been developed into a famous tourist attraction and is one of the United Nations World Heritage Sites. The scenic spot package includes tour guide explanation and boat tickets. The tour guide's words are explained in Mandarin ~ It takes about an hour.
Port Arthur
654381October 26th happens to be Australia's National Day, which is the first time that a prisoner has arrived in the Australian mainland. On this day, I visited Port Arthur, which is closely related to the National Day. It was quite a coincidence. By the way, the National Day of other countries usually celebrates the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC). Australia's brain hole is so big that the time for prisoners to land for the first time is actually designated as National Day. ...
Port Arthur
I only took the scenery of this part of Port Arthur prison site, and no one took a group photo. Maybe I'm superstitious.

2. Wellington Hill
Mount Wellington is the highest mountain around Hobart. There is an observation deck on the top of the mountain overlooking the whole city. It takes about half an hour to drive from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain. We went there at night and the scenery was beautiful. It is estimated that it will be done at sunrise and rest at sunset.
Wellington mt
Generally, in addition to driving to the top of the mountain, you can also sign up for this short trip at the local travel agency. We drive a short distance, but the mountain road is still a little dangerous, especially when going downhill, we must be extra careful when driving.

Although the scenery is good, the temperature on the mountain is low, please keep warm ~

3. Clairmont House
This is actually not a scenic spot, but a hotel where we stayed in Hobart. I wrote it specially because it is very old here (for Australia).
There are only four rooms here, built around 1839. They are all "big houses" of local nobles in the past, and they are all manor styles seen in film and television works from the inside out (that is, the area preserved now is smaller). The whole house has several living rooms, as well as a game room and so on.
During the two days I lived here, my mind was full of arrogance and prejudice. As soon as I entered the living room, I felt that this should be the place where the nobles talked about gossip and drank tea every day. ...
At that time, the glory here can only be felt by imagination, but now it is one of the choices for local weddings. If you take a carriage all the way from the gate to the door, it is also a beautiful picture.
3. On the third day around Hobart-Jiugui Bay, I finally set off from Hobart. The itinerary is Hobart's departure and the destination is Goblet Bay. I live in a resort in Goblet Bay. This distance is almost 200 kilometers, which is not long, so I went to many places along the way.
1. Richmond Town
The town is more than 20 kilometers away from Hobart, with a small population and a little history. There are some old buildings in the town. Another important reason why this town can be used as a scenic spot is the bridge below, which is the oldest bridge still in use in Australia.
All tourists are for this small bridge ~
The day I went happened to be the Lunar New Year's Eve in China, so I was particularly impressed.
I wanted to take a picture of New Year's greetings, but I took a picture of my special man ~ as shown below.
2. frog river winery
This winery was recommended by friends who make red wine. I have been to countless wineries around Sydney, so I didn't take it seriously at first. However, after I went there, I tasted my favorite wine and deeply planted herbs, so I especially want to recommend it to you.
Hobart
Can't find a separate picture of the bottle. This is Riesling in a small bottle. Chinese seems to be translated into riesling? I only bought two bottles at that time. I made a bottle at dinner that day and regretted buying less. After going back and forth to Sydney, I found that Riesling of this winery is not always available, so I recommend you to try it.
Take a picture in front of the vine ~
Hobart
The vines in the distance are similar in scenery to any winery in Sydney.
Hobart
There are many beautiful beaches along the way. We just kept driving, and when we saw the signs of scenic spots on the roadside, we looked around. In addition, the weather is so good that it looks like a white beach from a distance. The sea water is blue, and it is blue in layers.
It's a pity that I didn't use a professional camera to shoot a layered sea blue that day. It's really beautiful.
3. goblet bay
wineglass bay
Jiugui Bay is one of the top ten most beautiful bays in the world. The curve of the white sand beach and the blue-green ocean in the wine glass bay looks like a blue-green wine glass from a distance.
wineglass bay
Wine Cup Bay _ Observatory (Wine Cup Bay
Lookout) looks like a natural wine glass. It takes about 1 half an hour to get to the top of the mountain to see the whole picture, and it takes about 3-4 hours to get down to the seaside. I only chose a short trip. Personally, I think it is more labor-saving to look at the panorama from a height. Because there are many similar ones in Australia, I think we can give up on the beach.

As I get older, I like to take pictures of my back more and more. ...

Wine Cup Bay belongs to FreycinetNationalPark, and we stayed at Freycinetlodge, a hotel in the national park that day.
They are all independent cabins, as shown below.

There are not many restaurants in national parks, let alone Chinese food. So I simply ate the New Year's Eve dinner that day ~ ~ But the scenery in the hotel lobby and restaurant is particularly good, the coastline is beautiful, there are family members, and the scenery is beautiful. I am actually very happy.

4. Wine Cup Bay-Lavender Manor-Launceston Island On the fourth day, we departed from Wine Cup Bay and arrived in Launceston, the second largest city in Tasmania. I was basically on the road that day. I saw Flame Bay along the way, only went to one scenic spot-Lavender Manor, and stopped in Launceston. The whole journey is also about 200 kilometers early.
Bradstowe lavender farm
1.bridestowelavenderfarm
There should be many lavender estates, the most famous of which is bridestowelavender.
The farm. It was a fine day, but it was windy. I felt a layer of soil blowing on the lavender. It looks gray ~
Bradstowe lavender farm
Then there is the famous lavender bear. A few years ago, I suddenly bought it as a monolithic block ~ nothing special. I have never been interested in these things, so I bought some to send my friends back. There are shops specializing in lavender around the manor, besides bears, there are lavender pillows, aromatherapy, soap and so on, and there are many kinds. I bought lavender essential oil for my own use, and it feels good ~
Bradstowe lavender farm
Lavender Manor, take photos of tourists here ~ If you don't use filters, I don't think all the photos are purple, haha.

Flame Bay is not a single bay, with a total length of 20+ kilometers. The biggest feature is the red rock, which is like a flame under the sunlight.
Huoyanwan
When the weather is clear, from a distance, the blue sea and red rocks are like flames, and the very clear color impact visual effect is first-class ~
Huoyanwan
At the end of the day, the overall feeling is that the lavender manor I went to is far less than the Flame Bay I saw passing by ~ I think it doesn't matter if the time is tight, but it's not too detour if I go there, and the fare is very cheap (I can't remember the details) ~ Maybe the wind was too strong that day, and I didn't feel the beauty of lavender manor mentioned on the Internet.
Huoyanwan
Still a standard tourist, take a tour here.

3. Launceston
Launceston is the second largest city in Tasmania. I didn't do much introduction before I went. I wanted to use it as a stopover, but when I got there, I found it was a very distinctive and beautiful city. The buildings in the city center are very distinctive and should belong to Edwardian and Victorian buildings. For Australia, it is very old and distinctive (of course, it can't be compared with roadside buildings everywhere in Europe).
This is how a simple post office feels ~ ~ ~
A small church by the roadside
In addition to the old buildings on the street, there is actually a canyon in downtown Launceston-katara George. I looked up the Chinese translation-Cardenete Canyon.
This is a completely open space, because the city is too small, so it is estimated that it only takes 5 minutes to drive from the city center. This trip was actually on the morning of the fifth day (before going to Cradle Mountain). Because the next section of Cradle Mountain is too long, I put it in this section. When we passed by in the morning, we saw many residents of Launceston. In fact, it is equivalent to a big park where residents exercise in the morning.
I like this park very much. Belongs to the oasis in the city. A river in the middle (SouthEskRiver) divides the valley into two parts. The whole trail is easy to walk, and there are several distinctive bridges connected in the middle.
There are waterfalls, unique pavilions and cable car tours along the way.
We had limited time that day, and the highlight of the plan was Cradle Mountain, so we took a short turn in this canyon park and went back the same way (so I'm not sure how long this trip will take). Unfortunately, Launceston should be the city I hope to stay in when I come to Tasmania next time. Maybe next time.
In addition, the following photo, I can only think of "back", Zhu Ziqing. I am also the product of exam-oriented education.
The highlight of this day is Cradle Mountain, which is a major attraction in Tasmania. I spent some time in downtown Launceston in the morning, then set off for Cradle Mountain, passed the mural town in Sheffield, and stayed in Strangham at night (sorry, I don't know the Chinese literal translation name).

1. Cradle Mountain
Cradle Mountain is one of the natural heritages in the world, and it is a mountain range formed by glaciation hundreds of millions of years ago. Probably the calm lake water is surrounded by surrounding mountains, as quiet as sleeping in a cradle, hence the name Cradle Mountain.
Yaolanshan
The main reason why it became a world heritage is the beautiful scenery. There are many hiking routes here. Climb to the top of the mountain overlooking the lake below. There are very unique scenery here in winter and summer. I felt the scenery in summer this time, and I will have a chance to see the snow in winter later.
Yaolanshan
Before I came here, I made a strategy. Cradle Mountain is a mountain formed by icebergs hundreds of millions of years ago, so the climate is quite special, and basically two-thirds of it rains all the year round. Before reading almost everyone's tips, I would say that Cradle Mountain is extremely cold. But we were especially lucky to have the only sunny day since that week.
Yaolanshan
On the day we went, the highest temperature in the afternoon was almost 20 degrees. The second day we went there, the temperature was only four degrees. So I want to focus on reminding everyone to keep warm, and then pay attention to sun protection (I just didn't expect it to be very hot there, so I neglected it and got a layer of red when I went back to the hotel).
Yaolanshan
After entering Cradle Mountain National Park, there will be a parking lot. The parking lot is far from the pigeon lake parking lot. The requirement of the scenic spot is to buy tickets and take the shuttle bus in the park during this journey.
Bus entry is not allowed. We did it strictly according to the requirements, but we still saw many self-driving cars driving in it along the way. I suggest you follow the rules, Shuttle.
The bus fare seems to be as low as 10. Many road conditions in this mountain road are not good, and it is a one-way street. For the sake of safety, it is best not to enter by car.
Yaolanshan
The shuttle bus will go directly to the parking lot of pigeon lake. Pigeon Lake is one of the most famous scenic spots in Cradle Mountain, and the hiking route of Cradle Mountain starts from here.
Yaolanshan
There are three hiking routes in the national park, which are simple, intermediate and difficult. The easiest way is to surround the pigeon lake, and it takes 2-3 hours to walk down. The whole road is flat, and you can see the calm pigeon lake and the mountains reflected by the lake around the lake.
Yaolanshan
The most difficult one is the famous land passage.
Because there is no road connection between Cradle Mountain and Lake St. Galle, this famous hiking route is left. It usually takes seven days to walk. Cradle Mountain and Lake St. Galle are the starting point and the end point respectively. Along the way, you will climb the highest mountain in Tasmania and the beautiful mountains and trees around it. If you want to conquer this road, it's best to go from February to April in 65438+, because at that time, the days are longer and the temperature is more pleasant. If you want to rest in a camp with accommodation along the way, you can also prepare your own tent. This passage is taken from the Internet. People who are interested in this route can book their own hiking trip in www.overlandtrack.com.au.
Yaolanshan
We chose the route with moderate difficulty and walked for more than three hours. This road is not smooth. The route is to bypass several small lakes and climb to the top of the mountain. Most of them are mountain roads, and climbing to the top of the mountain in the last section requires both hands and feet. So once again remind everyone to wear comfortable and easy-to-walk shoes.
Yaolanshan
The picture below shows the scenery of climbing to the top of the mountain with both hands and feet (really, the last section is a nearly vertical mountain road with an iron chain dragging almost vertically ...). This section is really tiring, so everyone must pay attention to safety and be psychologically prepared in advance ~ I especially like this blue scenery, so for me, the scenery on the top of the mountain really feels glad you came.
Yaolanshan
Rain is the scenery halfway up the mountain (that is, the scenery before the hands and feet are useless). Basically, except for those who are strong and healthy, I think quite a few people may give up in the last paragraph. My parents-in-law were exhausted when they arrived here, and they didn't participate in the last paragraph.
Yaolanshan
The picture below shows a lake on the route up the mountain after bypassing Pigeon Lake. There will be a map with the name of each lake on it, but unfortunately I can't remember any other names except Pigeon Lake now. But the beautiful scenery is deeply in my memory ~ ~
Yaolanshan
Bypass these lakes and climb to the top of the mountain, then go back the same way and finally return to Pigeon Lake. Shuttle bus to pigeon lake parking lot
Go back to the parking lot at the gate of the scenic spot. For most basic tourism in Cradle Mountain, this scenic spot has even been completed. If it is a tour with more time, Cradle Mountain can actually stay for a week. There are too many routes in the whole national park. If I have the chance to come again in the future, I will try other routes.
2. Sheffield Mural City
On the way from Launceston to the cradle, we will pass by Sheffield Town. This town has a history of hundreds of years (for Australia, hundreds of years should be specially explained, haha, there is really no history). Built in 1859, the population is rarely estimated to be only a few thousand. This town is famous for all kinds of murals.
Sheffield mural city
I checked my homework. The earliest picture of the town was born in 1986. At that time, because of the local economic depression, the village Committee of the town decided to set up a tourism association and paint the history of the town on the wall of the town. The story of pioneers attracts tourists ~ Many murals are the works of professional mural artists.
The one below is my favorite pair ~
Sheffield mural city
Almost all the buildings in the town are covered with murals, just like a three-dimensional picture book. Before reading the Raiders, everyone always said that the picture below was painted by Eason Chan. I don't know if it's true or not, but it does say "Eason" in the lower left corner of the picture.
Made this.
Sheffield mural city
Let's have another mural symbolizing the friendship between China and Australia ~ I've been in Australia for almost 10 years, and I gradually feel like my second hometown. Of course, the motherland will always be the motherland. I hope China and Australia are friendly.
Sheffield mural city
3. Strahan
After the trip to Cradle Mountain, we continued to turn around the island to the southwest and reached strahan, about150km. In strahan, we booked a seaside cabin. I like the following one very much, so I recommend it to everyone.
This cabin can be searched by reservation: some accommodation in the cab.
The entrance is the living room with sea view and floor-to-ceiling windows, which is particularly bright. A * * * two floors, the whole is very clean and tidy, cheap.
Second floor, sunset
Most importantly, on the day we moved in, I was pleasantly surprised to witness my favorite 18 crown in this small town with no signal at all. Just for this reason, I think I will always remember here. ...
The following is the Australian Open in the last two years, 20 16vs20 17. I have been on-site support for the past two years (completely cow powder). 16 is the old logo, and 17 is the new logo.
melbourne park
I didn't think the new logo was very nice before. But now it looks more and more pleasing to the eye, and I think of a sentence: some people will fall in love with the new logo starting from 17 because they love winning the championship.

6.strahan- Hobart strahan is an important town in western Tasmania and seems to be an important port in the west. I wanted to make a stopover before I came, but I didn't do much strategy. When I arrived in town, I saw the advertisement of the tropical rain forest retro train, which was particularly exciting. I changed my itinerary a little and decided to get up early in the morning and take the train.
Retro trains have a fixed time and route. If I remember correctly, there is only one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Don't miss the time. I'll post the website, so everyone must check the time in advance and arrange the itinerary. . au .
In addition to retro trains, there are cruise tours. These two seem to be looking at the scenery of the tropical rain forest, but it's not bad to choose one of them. Because there are too many cruise ships in Sydney, this is our first choice.
We chose a half-day round-trip route and set off early in the morning, just in time to finish the project at noon and drive back to Hobart. It was the only rainy day in our whole trip. The local saying in Australia is that it will be more beautiful to go to the tropical rain forest to see the misty rain forest and waterfalls when it rains.
The overall feeling is very similar to the Kullanda Rainforest in Cairns, Queensland. The rainforest is full of retro trains, and there will be various plants and waterfalls on both sides. There will be a special commentator on the bus to introduce these attractions. The difference is that Cairns is a more popular tourist destination, so all kinds of materials are in Chinese, and Tasmania is explained in English. If you are not interested in explaining plants, you can also sit completely empty and look at the scenery on both sides.
The small train will stop at several stops along the way, so passengers can take pictures and see the surrounding scenery. Looking at this small train full of steam, the picture is very penetrating. ...
The last travel note is almost over here. After the train journey, we returned to the starting station, got on the bus and prepared to return to Hobart. A large part of the journey from Strahan to Hobart started as a mountain road. The road itself is not wide, and then it twists and turns, which is not particularly easy to drive. Everyone should pay attention to safety when driving.
After returning to Hobart, I had a simple rest for a day. The next morning, I went to the airport to return the car and set off for Sydney. Generally speaking, it is not very hard to go around the island, but the driver is still the most tired.
Finally, let's put a back.
