Is foaming at the mouth worth watching?

I went to see ghost stories because of the names of Kathy Affleck and Rooney Mara. The English title of the film "A Ghost Story" is literally translated as "A Ghost Story", which tells the story of a couple who are very similar to "the ghost story" starring demi moore. The difference is that the film A Ghost Story is more touching and unique than Ghost Story, and it was widely praised at Sundance Film Festival in the United States at the beginning of this year.

C (Kathy Affleck) and M (Rooney Mara) are sweet lovers. M told him that she often moved when she was a child, and would write ancient poems and things she wanted to remember on a piece of paper, fold them into small pieces and hide them in different places. It's like leaving a part of yourself there. As long as you find that note, you can go back in time. One day, C died in a car accident at home, leaving a lonely ghost of M.C. with sheets to accompany his lover. M couldn't stand loneliness and left the place where they lived together. C looked for the note left by M in the corner of the room, followed it to recall the warm time of the past, and refused to leave for a long time.

I didn't know much about Kathy Affleck earlier, but Manchester by the Sea made me and all the fans remember him. A year later, we found that he was still in sorrow. This C is more sympathetic and tearful than Lee Chandler in Manchester by the Sea. There are few lines and no performances. Most of the time, I play the ghost with a white sheet on my back. I can't even see my eyes, but I show my attachment to the world and my partner vividly, which makes people cry.

There are two scenes in the movie that are very shocking. The ghost of C saw a ghost in the opposite room and asked him what he was doing. The ghost replied, "I'm waiting for someone." "Wait for who?" "I don't remember." Later, the house was demolished and the two ghosts talked. The ghost told C, "I don't think they will come." When the sheets fell to the ground, the ghost disappeared instantly. At the end of the film, a similar scene appeared. After Ghost C dug out the little note he was thinking in the crack in the wall, the lifeless white sheet fell to the ground, and the film ended. The homesickness between people and ghosts and the nothingness of life strongly penetrate the screen and make people cry.

I have seen countless ghost films, but this ghost story is the most cute and tender. Ghost is a ghost attached to the world from the perspective of the living. Ghost stories look at the world from the perspective of the ghosts of the dead. Covered with a white sheet, I silently watched my lover waiting for me, almost motionless. Without a trace of terror and a little expression, it really shows the loneliness and sadness of ghosts. Although there are different views on the slow pace and long shot, on the whole, it is a stunning good film. Specially recommended to young artists, you won't be disappointed.
