Can old towels be recycled?

Old towels belong to dry garbage, that is, non-recyclable items.

Because many old towels, such as hotel towels, have many germs on them, they can hardly be completely disinfected in the recycling of ordinary textiles, so old towels are not recyclable and belong to other garbage, and old towels belong to dry garbage.

Although the towel is made of fabric, the used towel will breed a lot of bacterial substances, and the texture will be reduced, so the recycling value is low, so it is classified as dry garbage.

Recyclable garbage mainly includes waste paper, plastic, glass, metal and textiles.

1. Waste paper mainly includes newspapers, magazines, books, all kinds of wrapping paper, office paper, cartons and so on. But paper towels and toilet paper are too water-soluble to be recycled.

2. Plastics mainly include: various plastic bags, plastic packaging and tableware, toothbrushes, cups, mineral water bottles, plastic toys, plastic stationery, plastic daily necessities, shampoo bottles, hand sanitizer bottles, laundry detergent bottles and detergent bottles.

3. Glass mainly includes: glass beverage bottles, glass wine bottles, broken glass, broken glass windows, waste glass plates, lenses, mirrors, etc. According to the recycling process, glass can be divided into colorless glass, green glass and brown glass.

4. Metals mainly include canned goods, metal cans, decorations, aluminum foils, iron sheets, nails, iron pipes, scrap iron wires, old steel balls and copper wires. According to the recycled materials, it is divided into iron and non-iron (generally refers to non-ferrous metals).

5. Textiles mainly include: discarded clothes, trousers, socks, schoolbags, cloth shoes, sheets, bedding, plush toys, etc.
