What is wired glass?

Laminated glass is also called shatterproof glass. It is made by heating ordinary flat glass to a red-hot softening state, and then pressing preheated iron wire or wire mesh into the middle of the glass.

Its advantage is higher strength than ordinary glass. When the glass is hit or the temperature changes suddenly, it will break but not be short, and it will crack but not disperse, so as to prevent small angular fragments from flying out and hurting people. For example, when the fire spreads and the laminated glass is cracked by heat, it can still remain in a fixed state and play a role in isolating the fire, so it is also called fireproof glass. The disadvantage is that in the production process, the screen is easily oxidized by high temperature radiation, and yellow and rust-like bubbles may appear on the glass surface. Laminated glass is often used in skylights, ceilings, doors and windows that are easily affected by vibration.

Use steel wire lined glass.

According to the provisions of the building law, wire-lined glass is used for fire prevention. First, when ordinary glass is cut, the cut part is easily broken. The strength of the notch is about half that of laminated glass, so it is more prone to thermal fracture than laminated glass.

Laminated glass is highly decorative and widely used in engineering home improvement, such as background, partition, entrance, screen, doors and windows. At the same time, it is suitable for doors, windows, partitions and fire-proof and earthquake-proof places embedded in buildings.
