Do I need a deposit to book a hotel in a travel agency?

There are usually three ways to book a hotel:

Generally, you have to pay a certain deposit when booking a room. If you book online or by telephone, you usually have to pay the deposit to the designated account as required.

Some don't need a deposit (generally those hotels that are not well-known), some can get more discounts if they pay a deposit, and they won't if they don't.
