Is the elevator a special equipment?

Elevator belongs to special equipment. According to the Regulations on Safety Supervision of Special Equipment and the Law on Safety of Special Equipment, elevators belong to hoisting machinery, so they are regarded as special equipment. An elevator is a device used to transport people or things up and down floors. The classification of elevators is as follows:

1, domestic elevator: mainly used in residential buildings, villas and other living environments to facilitate the elderly and people with mobility difficulties to go upstairs and downstairs.

2. Commercial elevator: it is mainly used in shopping malls, office buildings, hotels and other commercial places to facilitate customers and employees to get on and off floors.

3. Industrial elevator: mainly used in industrial environments such as factories and warehouses, for transporting materials and loading and unloading goods.
