Where is Pingzhou?

Zhou Peng is an island in Hongkong, China.

Ping Chau, administratively an outlying island, is located in the southeast of Discovery Bay and northeast of Mui Wo on Lantau Island, with an area of 0.98 square kilometers.

Because there are no beaches and tourist attractions on the island, there are very few guests coming on holiday. Because of this, it is very quiet here. To the Cistercian Theological Seminary on Lantau Island, you can continue to take the ferry here. There is a ferry terminal from Hong Kong Island to the west of the island. There is the only shopping street on the island near the pier, which is very narrow. Only two people can walk side by side, about 500 meters long, with meat shops and grocery stores on both sides. People who want to taste the local atmosphere can go for a walk.

Geographical morphology

Pingzhou looks like a concave shape. The sinking place is Dongwan, and the south and north are called Nanwan and Beiwan respectively. Finger Mountain is the highest point on the island, 95 meters above sea level, overlooking Hong Kong Disneyland and Discovery Bay. There is a road connecting the island with Italy, which currently has a sewage treatment plant.

There is a "fishing stone" at the end of the northeast, and all the shops in Pingzhou are concentrated in the dock area. Pingzhou doesn't have a car, so it can only ride a bike. In terms of external transportation, we rely entirely on ferries. There are small teaching vehicles and fire engines powered by electricity and oil on the island, and islanders can also use helicopters to reach the urban area in an emergency. Zhou Peng, with a population of about 2,000, has a public housing area, Jinping Village, and a Home Ownership Scheme area, Pingli Garden.
