How to arrange Xi 'an's five-day free travel strategy?
DAY 1 tour of the ancient city
The ancient city wall is surrounded by a circle, enclosing the geographical orientation and psychological belonging of the old Xi 'an. Fang Hui, Forest of Steles, Xi City Wall and Bell and Drum Tower are all must-see attractions, and the first three will each take 2-3 hours.
I rushed back to the square in the morning, got into the old mutton soup kitchen and enjoyed a bowl of hot mutton soup. After a full meal, measure this feature block with your feet. The horizontal and vertical paths continue the pattern of "Li Fang", and the mosque has the shell of traditional buildings in China. Don't forget to come back after midnight snack. Delicious roast beef and mutton are waiting for you.
Manbuhui store
Starting point: Gulou Terminal: Nanguangji Street.
Distance: 5.5 kilometers
Time required: about 4 hours (including tour time)
Although the north courtyard gate on the back of the Drum Tower is quite crowded, entering the back square is the most classic angle. As soon as you bypass the Drum Tower, please pay attention to the west side, cross the archway and market of Huajue Lane, and come to the mosque of Huajue Lane.
After that, I went back to the North Yard Gate via the Western City, and the Gaos Courtyard was next to the intersection. Struggling through the crowd to the north, after passing the stone archway of "cultural gathering", you might as well pick up three sorbets and hold an oil ice cream from Shaanxi. Then turn west along Maixian Street into Xiaopiyuan and return to Xiaopiyuan Mosque, the third largest temple in Fangfang.
Continue westward to the south of Beiguangji Street, and you will see the cornice of Dapiyuan Mosque at the next intersection. Majiashi, which continues to the south, has several famous restaurants, and there are always long queues. Turn west and find the way into Guangming Lane. Japanese planes bombed the ruins of Xi 'an and witnessed the catastrophe of the war. Then go north around the teaching gate and arrive at Xicang Flower and Bird Market. In addition to the chirping caged birds, you can also see stalls selling second-hand small objects. Keep walking and arrive at Sajinqiao. Don't forget to go to Yuntai Temple to see if it is open.
Sajinqiao is the back door of Fang Hui and a famous food street in recent years. Going south, you can see the ancient mosque of Sajinqiao. The ancient temple is a newly-built Islamic style building, and only the ancient gatehouse and the ancient trees in front of it tell a long history. There is also a female temple in the side lane. When you meet the Muslim West Temple in Sajinqiao, please turn east into Miaohou Street, and then enter Xiaoxing Lane from the low-key north entrance. There are few tourists here, but there are two mosques, the Muslim Middle Temple in Primary School Lane and the Muslim Yingli Temple in Primary School Lane.
Along the east-facing alley of Yingli Temple, I have seen the theme murals of Split Temple in Tang Dynasty and returned to the bustling place where people come and go. Not far from the north is the University Lane Mosque, and Zheng Hebei tells the glorious history of the early Ming Dynasty. Turn right to the north and enter a hidden alley, passing through the "original ecological" residential area. On the other hand, the Chinese architecture in the high wall is a Taoist temple. Facing "Are you there?" Answer "yes, I have" on the archway, cross the west street with rolling traffic and return to the modern city. However, the introduction tablet on the east side of Nanguangji Street corner around the central axis of Chang 'an City in Tang Dynasty can bring you back to history.
Bell tower and drum tower
The Bell and Drum Tower is located in the center of Xi 'an Old Town. From the early Ming Dynasty to the late Qing Dynasty, it has been serving Xi people. Today, there are still antique performances such as bells and drums here every day, and the beauty of traditional wooden structures is also worth stopping to watch. Boarding the bell tower, you can also overlook the rolling traffic on the traffic roundabout and instantly blend into the fashion rhythm of Xi' an. Usually, every performance of the Drum Tower is 30 minutes earlier than that of the Bell Tower. You can go to the Drum Tower first, and then to the Bell Tower.
Compare the wall of Xi 'an to a square dial, and the bell and drum tower of "Morning Bell and Evening Drum" is the axis disk that obeys the center. This bell tower was built in the 17th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1384), which is almost the same age as the place name "Xi 'an" that first appeared in Hongwu in the second year, and has gone through more than 600 years. Today, the original four-corner conical roof with double eaves and three drops of water is still preserved, which is a masterpiece of official architecture in Ming and Qing Dynasties. The experience of moving from the west side of the Drum Tower to this site in the ten years of Wanli (1582) is a miracle in the history of ancient engineering technology, and the 64 ancient story reliefs on the door leaves are even more beautiful. The clock tower is at 9: 10, 10:30,1:30, 15:30, 16:30, 17:30 every day.
Compared with the bell tower in the southeast, the drum tower is 4 years older; Different from the bell tower with the four-corner pyramid roof, the drum tower with double eaves and three drops of water is the rest of the mountain, which is more spacious and majestic. As the largest existing Drum Tower in China, the two wooden signs of Xi 'an Drum Tower with gold lettering on a blue background are also famous in the world for their large area-the south sign is "the place where civil and military officials flourish" and the north sign is "the place famous in the world", which is full of lofty sentiments but not original. The drums in the building are also heavy products. On the 24 drums around Mulou, Xiao Zhuan is written, corresponding to 24 solar terms.
Forest of Stone Steles Museum
Since imperial academy period in Tang Dynasty, the stone tablets in Xi 'an stele forest have been treasured. In the later Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, like a stone dictionary, it kept pace with the times and collected excellent works, and finally wrote a vivid history of Chinese character art.
This place is not only a holy place for calligraphy lovers to worship, but also many historical and humanistic clues: the stone horse of Xiongnu, the stone rhinoceros of Li Yuan, the cross of Nestorianism, the pattern of Confucius Temple and the eight scenic spots in Guanzhong. It's like traveling through time. The gate of the Academy leading to the forest of steles is a street named "Four Treasures of the Study", which can warm your trip to the forest of steles.
Xi' an ancient city wall
The ancient city wall, like a seal, is still firmly stuck in the center of Xi. It marks the historical position of Chang 'an. After several times of demolition and repair, the walls of Xi 'anzhai in Ming and Qing Dynasties are finally coherent and complete, and the mottled old city bricks tell the vivid past of the northwest. Bring travelers who come down from modern means of transportation into the mood of historical and cultural cities quickly.
You can take a walk along the root of the city wall or go to the peripheral parks around the city. The coolest way to climb the city wall is to ride a circle. When the speed is fast, you can see all directions of Xi 'an Old Town at one time.
Cross the south of the city the next day.
If we compare ancient and modern maps, we will find that Chang 'an City in Tang Dynasty is mostly in the south compared with today's ancient city. There are two Millennium pagodas, two museums and a Tang-style pedestrian street in the south of the city, which is another highlight of your safe trip.
Shaanxi History Museum
How thick the loess in Shaanxi is, how long the history is. In the long history of Chinese civilization before 10 century, the great legends of Li Zhou, Qiang Qin, Xiongnu, the prosperous Tang Dynasty and the Silk Road all included Xi 'an, a bright star. Among more than 3,000 exhibition halls, the State Council has evaluated 9 cultural relics prohibited from going abroad, and even won the "Eighteen National Treasures". If you don't pay attention, you may miss the national first-class cultural relics.
The cultural relics exhibited in Canruo Chen Xing tell the history of Sanqin from Lantian people to the late Qing Dynasty. Bronzes from the Western Zhou Dynasty, jades from the Han and Tang Dynasties and porcelain from the Northern Song Dynasty are all fine works, and two paid exhibitions are equally worthwhile. But these are just the tip of the iceberg of the collection of 1.7 million cultural relics. In 2065,438+09, the official announced that a new Shaanxi History Museum will be built in Simba District!
The basic exhibition of "Shaanxi Ancient Civilization", the National Treasure Museum and the temporary exhibition are free to visit. You need to make an appointment in official website or WeChat official account "Shaanxi History Museum Ticketing System" in advance, and pick up tickets on the spot with valid ID card on the day of visit.

Little Wild Goose Pagoda (Jianfu Temple)
It is in the same hospital as Xi 'an Museum. The ancient pagoda is the remains of Chang 'an in Tang Dynasty, and the museum combs the changes of the ancient capital with models and cultural relics. Classical monasteries are connected with modern gardens. Today, although there are two floors missing, the Little Wild Goose Pagoda still stands upright and drills out the shade. Its dense eaves style and the pavilion style of Wild Goose Pagoda are two basic structures of China Pagoda.
The green garden courtyard is another highlight of Little Wild Goose Pagoda. Especially in autumn, ginkgo and phoenix tree shed golden ripples, which is very romantic. 20 14 Little Wild Goose Pagoda is listed as a World Heritage Site "Silk Road: Chang 'an-Tianshan Corridor Road Network".
Wild goose pagoda; Dayan Pagoda; Giant Wild Goose Pagoda
The quaint and dignified Big Wild Goose Pagoda is not only the most recognizable urban landmark in Xi 'an, but also a quaint and elegant square pavilion-style brick pagoda, which is an excellent symbol of the Tang Dynasty. North and south, fountain show, light show, the city that never sleeps? Xi 'an's fashion is also jumping here.
Xuanzang, the Tang priest, enjoys the admiration of ordinary people because of his deep roots here.
Datang quanri shopping mall
Looking south with the bronze statue of Xuanzang in the South Square, it is the "Old Country Datang" that he dreamed of on his way to learn from the scriptures. Accompanied by the night sky, dazzling lights, unpredictable beams, imitating the background color of Tang architecture? It did bring you some surprises. The design of interactive open landscapes such as Shouquan and Piano Street, the routine performances of "network celebrities" programs such as "Tumbler" and "Stone Man", and the presence of various bands and Shaanxi Opera Troupe, please follow your senses and forcibly "dream back to the Tang Dynasty" in the lighting audio-visual effect!
On the third day, I went deep into the scene.
In the other direction of Xi 'an city, different dynasties have left different historical traces, and all kinds of ruins parks can choose one or two according to their own interests. Or directly hit the Terracotta Warriors, Huashan and other popular attractions.
Daming Palace Ruins Park
Thousands of palaces are made of mud. Daming Palace National Heritage Park covers an area of 4.5 times that of the Forbidden City and is known as the "Palace of Thousand Palaces". Daming Palace, built in the era of Tang Gaozong and Wu Zetian, is the most splendid palace in the history of China. After more than 1 100 years of destruction, this place is just a loess site with various shapes mixed with dilapidated houses. However, as the first batch of national archaeological sites parks, the cultural relics protection and tourism development here maintain a good balance and the transportation is convenient, so it can be the first choice for similar scenic spots in Xi 'an.
Different from the majestic palace image in Da Gong Ming's ci, the construction idea here is mainly to protect the ruins, and there are also group images reflecting the situation at that time.
The Danfengmen Ruins Museum in the north of Xi 'an Railway Station needs tickets to visit and cross Jinshui Bridge. Although there are only Tai Chi ruins in the Han and Yuan Dynasties, it is still shocking enough. It used to be the place where national ceremonies and celebrations were held for the son of heaven, and it is still the commanding height of this area, overlooking the surrounding area.
Banpo museum
Banpo Museum has a ruins hall the size of more than half a football field. The ruins of ancient human settlements more than 6,000 years ago are still the same as when they were just unearthed decades ago. Don't worry about the Neolithic history being unintelligible or too boring. The museum explains the ancient life of Banpo people and Yangshao culture in a simple way.
At the beginning of the visit, it is recommended to go to the video studio to watch the rolling documentary. Stepping into the ruins hall, the open area of 4,500 square meters gives people the feeling of crossing time and space; Here, when it reappeared in broad daylight, the site was preserved. In the exhibition hall of tombs, the bones of ancestors 6000 years ago are still lying in some transparent coffins. They kept different postures when they were first unearthed, and the videos and words on the side explained various burial systems.
The pottery-making and painting art of Banpo people is full of geometric sense, and the fish-faced basin (there is no doubt that Shaanxi History Museum and National Museum also have the same exhibits, all of which are original, but the contents of the paintings are slightly different) is the most representative, and the prototype of the Olympic Fuwa has also been inspired by it.
Kiyoji
In the legend of the demon cat, Qinglong Temple is the main hall for Japanese monks to seek dharma in the empty sea. The original building has long since ceased to exist, leaving only the ruins of column foundation and platform foundation, but the reconstructed courtyard reproduces the style of the Tang Dynasty, and cherry blossoms donated by Japan are scattered all over the garden in spring. It is also located in the music garden scenic spot described in Li Shangyin's poems, which is suitable for nostalgia at sunset.
In the 1980s, everything was in ruins, which coincided with the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan. According to the results of archaeological excavations, some temples were rebuilt in Qingliu Temple. The memorial hall of returning to China, which imitates the architectural style of the Tang Dynasty, is a witness to the cultural exchange between China and Japan. There are often pilgrims from Japan in front of the Air Sea Monument.
There are also stone tablets of national key cultural relics protection units in the temple, which refer to Tang Dynasty sites such as Tayuan. The Qingliu Temple Ruins Museum in Guyuan Building (closed at 9:00- 17:00 on Monday) displays cultural relics such as tiles and wall bricks, as well as the model sand table in the heyday of Qingliu Temple; There are also rich graphic materials, among which the story about the relationship between Japanese characters, diet, education and Chang 'an in Tang Dynasty is quite interesting to read.
Han Chang 'an Weiyang Palace Ruins Park
You can move the timeline from the Tang Dynasty to more than 700 years ago, go to Seoul in the northwest corner of the city, and visit the rammed earth of the Han Palace in the green wheat field of Weiyang Palace site, covering a wider area. Climbing the ruins of Qian Dian, which is still more than 20 meters high, I imagined the magnificent scene where the son of heaven of this great man was congratulated by hundreds of officials. Seoul is the name of Xi people. Over the years, it has maintained the appearance of a village in the city, and some places will hold open-air markets regularly.
Explore the suburbs on the 4th to 5th day.
Xi 'an suburb includes Lintong District, Chang 'an District, _ Yi District, Lantian County and Xianyang City, with many scenic spots scattered. You can arrange a trip of 1 ~ 2 days according to your own interests and preferences.
Qin Shihuang Mausoleum Relics Park
In the morning, I went to Lintong from downtown, visited the Qin Shihuang Mausoleum Museum and Lishan Garden, and witnessed the artistic charm of thousands of terracotta warriors. 1974, the terracotta warriors and horses came into being by accident and broke ground. The Qin Shihuang Mausoleum Museum built on the site has always been the first choice for Xi's tourist destination. Standing in front of the No.1 pit in person, you can feel the grandeur of Qin Shihuang's underground army. The lifelike soldiers and figures seem to be resurrected in an instant, waiting for you. The first pit has the largest area. The huge phalanx of Middle East strikers, western defenders and flanks are all crossbowmen facing outwards, with 38 main columns and 45 chariots in the middle.
Quick browse of highlights
Before visiting the ruins hall, you can go to the 360-degree amphitheater to learn about the historical background of Qin Shihuang's mausoleum. Or use your mobile phone to scan the official WeChat QR code of the scenic spot, and get navigation and explanation information through the "Tracing the Beginning of the Mausoleum" applet.
The kneeling terracotta warriors and horses displayed in the second pit are the image ambassadors of Xi's official propaganda.
There are cafes and restaurants in the museum area, which are only open at noon. Out of the south gate is the food street, various Shaanxi snack bars, KFC, Starbucks and other chain restaurants.
In the afternoon, you can go to Huaqing Palace to see the Haitang Tang Chi bathed by Yang Guifei, and then climb Mount Li to see the scenery of Lintong. If the budget is sufficient, it is also a good experience to watch a live song and dance of "Song of Eternal Sorrow" in Huaqingchi at night.
Tips: If the next stop is Huashan, it is more convenient to stay in Lintong for one night and go to Huashan by bus the next day.
Nanwutai
South Wutai Mountain in Chang 'an is like a "specimen" of Qinling scenery. South Wutai Mountain is also named after five temples built on five hills, and is also listed as one of the "eight famous Buddhist mountains". It takes one day to climb the highest Guanyin Terrace from Manjusri Terrace, Liangqingtai, Lingying Terrace and Sheshen Terrace. At the foot are the cascade mountains in Moxiang Qinling and the jade-like Shibianyu Reservoir.
Unlike Wutai Mountain in Shanxi, this is the Dojo of Guanyin Bodhisattva. There is a lively ancient incense party on June 19 of the lunar calendar, and the pilgrimage of believers to Taiwan also reached its climax during this period. For outdoor lovers, the walking difficulty of Nanwutai is much smaller than that of Cuihua Mountain, but the scenery is still outstanding. If you are lucky enough to meet Chu Qing after the rain, the Buddhist temples floating in the sea of clouds will be revealed, even more like fairyland.
Tip: I suggest taking some time to visit the Guanzhong Folk Art Museum at the foot of the mountain.
caotang temple
Caotang Temple is the first national translation point after Buddhism was introduced into China. Kumarajiva stupa, a national treasure of the temple, is worth your special trip. It is built by eight-color jade enshrined in western countries. Unfortunately, you can only enjoy it through the glass window of the pagoda pavilion, but you can still clearly see the crystal-clear color of the 12-story pagoda, as well as exquisite sculptures such as Tiewei Mountain, Xiangboiling Sea, peaks, cirrus clouds, Xianglong and sitting Buddha. Walking in the temple, only the Sanskrit sounds are quiet in my ears, and the verdant mountain shadows of Zhong Nanshan are in the distance.
Tip: When you return to Xi 'an from Caotang Temple, you might as well take bus No.928, get off at Qin Zhen and go deep into the old street to eat a bowl of authentic Qin Zhen rice skin.
Hanyang Mausoleum and Xianyang
The excavation of Han Jingdi's mausoleum has opened an "underground kingdom" for the world, and the funerary objects in the 10 cluster burial pit are all-encompassing, which is an eye-opener. The cemeteries where Emperor Liu Qi and Queen Wang were buried in different caves are the largest tombs of the Han Dynasty ever discovered. There are 8 1 pit, which are radially distributed around the surrounding soil, and there are more than 10000 tombs in the mausoleum area.
You can visit Hanyang Mausoleum for half a day, then go to Xianyang by car and enjoy the Terracotta Warriors and Horses of the Western Han Dynasty in Xianyang Museum. You can also compare the differences between the two terracotta warriors and horses in the Han tomb. If you want to continue exploring the Tang Shunling in Xianyang Garden, you can also go to the Tang Shunling Ruins Park to watch the majestic lions walk.
Tips: The trains from Xi 'an to Hanyang Mausoleum are not frequent, so it is best to check the departure time in advance. There are no 5 buses from Hanyang Mausoleum to Xianyang Railway Station. If the time is planned properly, they can move to Xianyang seamlessly.
Qishan noodles with minced meat is a delicious food, which occupies an important position in Shaanxi pasta family and appeared as early as the first season of China on the tip of the tongue. The most authentic way to eat is "full of fragrance", that is, a small bowl of soup with only one chopstick head can be eaten in one bite. After cleaning up the side dishes and jiaozi, you can change them into bowls. Fufeng noodles with minced meat in neighboring counties are also famous, because the methods of noodles with minced meat are different, the noodles are not spicy or particularly sour, and the taste is relatively peaceful.
Lamian Noodles is more common, and Lamian Noodles is delicious, so various ways of eating are derived. The belt in Shaanxi Eight Eccentrics is a kind of Lamian Noodles, which is as wide as the belt.
After the oil-sprinkled noodles are cooked, put them into a bowl, and then pour the dried Chili noodles, chopped green onion and seasonal vegetables with hot oil for secondary processing. The most commonly used noodles are wide Lamian Noodles or noodles.
Biángbiáng noodles are actually oil belt noodles, but the noodles are pulled into pieces 10 cm long, and the side dishes are also rich.
There are countless possibilities for flour to change Shaanxi. In addition to noodles, meat buns, mutton buns and cold noodles, flour is also the main body.
Cold rice noodles are a popular snack in Shaanxi. Just find a stall, order a cold rice noodle with a bottle of soda, which is fast food, and then have a meat steamed stuffed bun, which becomes the standard version of the "Sanqin set meal".
In Fang Hui, avoid the North Yard Gate and the Western market, and you are expected to find an old-fashioned restaurant that is not addicted to red. Dachejia Lane next to the South Gate, Wuweishi and Xiajiashi characters next to Shennantang, Shangjian Road next to the East Gate and Hong Zhuan South Road next to Xiaozhai are all crowded with old shops. Xi people often say that "everything that can be displayed is delicious", and the shop under the residential building is Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
