The history of lumbini

Lumbini means lovely in Sanskrit. It used to be the garden of Lumbini, the wife of Shanjue in the ancient heavenly arm country, hence its name. Lumbini today is a small village with beautiful scenery and many historical sites related to Sakyamuni. There is a white square building, which is two buildings.

The stone platform is very solemn against the rich and lush trees. This is the Mayan Devi Goddess Temple, also known as Mahamoyev Temple. Moye Devi is the wife of King Sudoku in Karuweiguo, North Tianzhu (near Lumbini, Nepal today). It is said that in 633 AD, on the first day of the first lunar month in Nepal, she came to Lumbini Garden on her way back to her mother's house and gave birth to Siddhartha Gautama, the world-famous Buddha. Lumbini is located in the south of the Indian plain, surrounded by trees. Lumbini people believe that the Buddha mother chose Lumbini because the environment here is quiet and peaceful. Although there are few cities and a small population near Lumbini, there are still plans for great development here: building gardens, planting trees and building canals, increasing accommodation facilities and even building new libraries. It is convenient for tourists and pilgrims to eat and live here, and the luxury hotels built by the Japanese provide more choices for different consumers. Visitors can fly to Paleva, or take a bus, or rent a jeep or tricycle to go there. There are also regular flights between Paleva and Kathmandu (the capital of Nepal). Later generations built this unique Mayan Devi Goddess Temple in the place where Sakyamuni was born. Now the temple is dedicated to the stone statue of the goddess, and the right hand climbs the branches of the twin trees in Miluo, and the newborn baby Siddhartha stands on the nearby lotus platform.

There is a square pool of tens of meters next to the Mayan Devi Goddess Temple. Minche is like a mirror. According to legend, it is the place where the goddess bathed, and it is also the place where Sakyamuni bathed in childhood. There is a Miluo double tree by the pool, which is stout. The original tree was recorded in Faxian's works, and when Tang Xuanzang came here to learn from the scriptures, it was withered, which shows that the existing tree was replanted by later generations.
