The Shangri-La Dialogue is an annual forum jointly organized by the British Institute for International Strategic Studies and the Singapore Ministry of Defence’s Asian Security Summit Office. It is held every June at the Singapore Shangri-La Hotel in the center of Singapore, hence the name "Shangri-La" dialogue meeting”. Significance of the Shangri-La Conference

At the same time, five special closed-door meetings will also be held during this meeting, namely: how to prevent disputes in the South China Sea, armed forces and domestic emergencies, dangers and opportunities in Northeast Asia, submarines and regional security, and South Asia is growing safety hazard.
