the eastern route starts from Haikou in the north, passes through Wenchang, Qionghai, Wanning and Lingshui to Sanya, with a total length of about 42 kilometers. Most of the routes follow the coastline, which concentrates the spirit of coconut wind and sea rhyme and gathers the cultural attractions of Youxin in Hainan. There are many scenic spots along the way, and the tourist facilities are well developed.

the west line starts from Haikou in the north and passes through Danzhou, Changjiang, Dongfang and Yacheng to Sanya. The total length is about 45 kilometers. The passing area is a little desolate, but its natural scenery is not inferior to that of the eastern route. The unadorned original flavor gives people another feeling and can also appreciate more local cultural customs.

The central line passes through Wuzhishan and crosses Baoting, Tongshi, Qiongzhong and Tunchang. The economy is relatively backward, mainly inhabited by Li and Miao compatriots, and it has basically not been sinicized, retaining the local customs and living habits. The total length is about 3 kilometers, and the physical consumption of mountain sections is large. Fewer people choose to ride this route. Each of the above three routes takes 4-7 days.

Cycling around the island

D1 Haikou-Lingshan-Sanjiang-Roughly Slope-Tanniu-Wenchang-Qinglan Town (117km)

Arrive at Haikou at 11: , buy a return ticket immediately after disembarking, and then start cycling. Today's destination is Gaolong Bay, Haikou passes through Qiongshan to Lingshan, which is the main road to meilan airport (belonging to National Highway 223) with flat terrain, good road conditions, cement pavement and special slow lanes. Just starting, pay attention to control the speed and don't ride too fast. Lingshan-Sanjiang-rough slope-Tanniu-Wenchang section is a 15-lane provincial highway with two-lane asphalt road, and the terrain is slightly undulating, all of which are avenues. Wenchang Road is divided into Maihao to the southwest and Qinglan to the southeast, and the road to the southeast is taken. It is about 11 kilometers from Wenchang to Qinglan Town, with good road conditions and street lamps. Qinglan Town is very close to Gaolong Bay. You can go camping in Gaolong Bay at night. At the end of the road, there is a thin beach, next to towering coconut trees, and you can sleep with the sound of patting waves. The scenic spots near Qinglan include coconut grove and mangrove reserve in the eastern suburbs. Ride at a speed of 2~25 kilometers per hour, and the riding time is about 6 hours.

Mangrove Reserve: There is an endless mangrove reserve near Qinglan Ferry. The ferry is driving slowly outside the mangrove forest, and all kinds of birds are dancing freely in the Woods, and neat fishing rafts are stocked along the mangrove edge. It is a natural and harmonious scene, which is pleasing to the eye.

Coconut grove in the eastern suburb: located in the eastern suburb of Wenchang City, adjacent to the famous Qinglan Port, this is the kingdom of coconut trees. No matter where you look, you can see trees with different heights, different inclinations and twists and turns. There are more than 5, coconut trees here, including red coconut, green coconut, improved dwarf coconut, high coconut and water coconut. Coconut water is called Tianshui by local people, which is sweet and sweet.

D2 Qinglan-Maihao-Huiwen-Changpo-Qionghai-Boao (85km)

You don't have to go back to Wenchang when you get out of Qinglan. You can ride back for about 5km and turn left to Maihao Town. From time to time, you can see the river valley with rich tropical scenery. From Huiwen to Changpo, you can see the endless sea and seashore coconut groves.

Wanquan River: It is the third largest river in Hainan Island, originating from Wuzhishan, with a total length of 162 kilometers. On both sides of the upper reaches, the peaks are undulating, the valleys are narrow, the water is swift, and the downstream river is open, with coconut groves and banana orchards on both sides. The river flows through qionghai city for 81 kilometers, forming a sandbar island in the middle of the river, and there are famous Guantang Hot Springs and beautiful Baishiling Scenic Area nearby. The most beautiful place of Wanquan River is the estuary, which integrates rivers, green islands, seaports, sand dikes and other landscapes, and is considered as one of the best preserved natural scenery in the estuary of rivers in the world.

Accommodation: At noon, you can eat Jiaji duck, Wenchang chicken and pepper pork tripe soup in Qionghai Changlong Hotel to taste the real Hainan flavor. In the evening, you must find a fresh stall next to Boao where you can camp and eat seafood. There is a large beach suitable for camping in the east of the town. If you have a good relationship with the manager of the seafood stall when eating, you can camp directly on the beach next to the seafood stall. Count the stars and watch the moon on the beach at night. Personally, I think this is the unique pleasure of riding in Hainan.

D3 Boao-Longgun-Wanning-Xinglong Hot Spring (93km)

From Boao to Longgun, you can go back 2km to Qionghai, and then ride in the direction of Longgun along National Highway 223. There are also two shortcuts: the first is to cross the bridge in Boao, cross Wanquan River, go to No.223 National Road in JiuQujiang Town, and then ride in the direction of Dragon Roll; The second is to cross Wanquan River mouth by ferry to the opposite town, and then ride on National Highway 223. The former road is newly built, and the road surface is in good condition; The latter road can see the Wanquan River thoroughly, and interested friends can also personally touch the gentle Wanquan River. After crossing the ferry, go directly to Shangen Town. The pier is next to Boao Convention and Exhibition Center, which is the same as the cruise ship. The sailing time is about 9: 3 ~ 1: , and it will be opened when people are full. However, when there are a lot of tourists, they may not be on time and have to make a temporary transfer. From Longgun to Shangen, Lelai, Wanning, Niulou and Xinglong, to Xinglong Hot Springs, the road conditions are slightly better than those of 15 provinces. Mainly alluvial plain, flat terrain, passing through fertile land of ten thousand mu, mainly pastoral scenery.

Xinglong Hot Spring: It is located in Xinglong Overseas Chinese Farm in the eastern suburb of Wanning, where the scenery is beautiful and the hometown of overseas Chinese is rich. The hot spring * * * has more than a dozen springs, the water temperature keeps white clouds around 6 degrees all the year round, the water is rich in minerals, and the transpiration water vapor has a faint fragrance. Bathing in it has therapeutic effects on dermatosis, arthritis and neurasthenia. In Xinglong and Hot Springs, there is also coffee, which is a small seed imported from abroad by returned overseas Chinese, and the brewed coffee smells fragrant.

Xinglong Tropical Botanical Garden: It covers an area of more than 6 mu, with more than 1,2 kinds of tropical cash crops such as coffee, pepper, vanilla and cocoa, as well as durian, mangosteen and other hot fruits. It also preserves many rare wild plant resources, in which you can learn many strange flowers and trees that have never been known before. I suggest you have a look!

D4 Xinglong-Lingshui-Yingzhou-Yalong Bay (12km)

When you come out of the hot spring, you should first return to Xinglong Town, continue riding along National Highway 223, and cross a mountain pass named Niu Ling from Xinglong to Lingshui. Pay attention to safety when going downhill on Panshan Road, slow down before entering the curve, and don't brake suddenly. Lingshui-Yingzhou-Tengqiao-Linwang. The road conditions are good, flat and wide, and you can fly as fast as you like. After passing Linwang, you have to cross a mountain pass with a height difference of about 13 meters. This section of road is surrounded by mountains, and you can't see the shadow of the sea. In fact, it is only separated from Yalong Bay by a hill. After crossing the mountain pass and riding for about 5 kilometers, there is a left-handed intersection to Yalong Bay, and there is still about 15 kilometers from the intersection to Yalong Bay. If you don't go to Yalong Bay, go straight to Sanya.

Accommodation: Xinglong coffee is the best coffee in Hainan. You must drink coffee at the roadside coffee shop in the old city for breakfast, all of which are freshly ground coffee beans. The local people only drink pure coffee, and the coffee training only provides sugar, but the coffee is very strong and fragrant. If you don't like it, you have to add milk yourself. There is a motorcycle repair shop in the local area, and Lingshui is the distribution center of watermelons. If it is in the harvest season, there are many watermelon stalls on the roadside near the urban area. It is very cool to buy a watermelon and sit on the roadside to eat when you are tired and hot after riding. Yalong Bay Hotel is not harmonious. There are seafood stalls in the easternmost part of the beach, and they also stay here to camp on the beach.

Tip: 1. As the distance arranged for the next day is not long, you can start again after noon, and you can experience diving in Yalong Bay in the morning.

2. If there is enough time, the day's journey can be divided into two days. After Lingshui, Sancai and Xincun, there is a Nanwan Monkey Island across the sea from Xincun, and a cableway connects the two sides. This is the only island macaque nature reserve in China and the world. If you go to see it, you can't reach Yalong Bay that night. There are hotels on the island that can stay that night or camp. On the fifth day, I will go to Yalong Bay via Linwang. There is plenty of time. When I pass Linwang, I can also visit wuzhizhou.

D5 Yalong Bay-Sanya-Tianya (6km)

You can enjoy the water this morning, come out from Yalong Bay in the afternoon and return to the intersection of National Highway 223. The road section to Sanya is smooth and wide, and it will go downhill all the way, and you will soon reach Sanya. Sanya is the most important tourist city in Hainan, with complete facilities and a good place to replenish supplies and rest.

if you continue to ride on the west line, you can continue to go to Yanglan and Tianya without going into downtown Sanya. Jie officially entered the section of National Highway 225 on the West Line from Sanya. The highway and railway on the west line cross and run in parallel, and the scenery passing through the coastline is beautiful, with less noise and man-made buildings on the east line. Sanya to Yanglan Town is still a wide cement road with street lamps, but after crossing Yanglan, it is an ordinary two-lane asphalt pavement. Before arriving at Tianya Town, I will pass by the Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area. Vulgarity is vulgar, but you can try it.

Accommodation: The accommodation conditions in Tianya Town are not very good. In fact, the accommodation conditions in the towns on the west line are not very good, and there is no hot water supply. The locals have no habit of taking hot baths.

D6 Tianya-Yacheng-Huang Liu-Banqiao (17km)

This day is like riding a leisurely ox cart and an ancient steam locomotive, expressing a slow and ancient rhythm.

I've been riding along National Highway 225. Although it's also an ordinary asphalt pavement, the pavement is relatively flat, and the terrain is flat, so I can ride quickly. This area is a fruit and vegetable producing area, and the towns are all vegetable distribution centers, so they are not busy. Each town has its own specialties, some are cucumbers and some are eggplants. On the road, you can see a lot of ox carts, pulling vegetables and walking calmly from the front.

Accommodation: Banqiao is a very small town with few accommodation and restaurants. Be prepared to eat dry food during the Spring Festival.

D7-8 Banqiao-Dongfang-Taipo-Changjiang (89 km)-Yaxing-Danzhou (79 km)

It's hard to ride when you leave the coastline and enter the mountainous and hilly areas. Banqiao to Dongfang Road Duan Yiran is along the coast. After crossing Dongfang City, the highway turns eastward, gradually leaving the coastline and entering the mountainous and hilly areas. The road from the East to Changjiang is probably the most tiring on the loop road, and it keeps going uphill and downhill. Although the height difference of each slope is not very large, riding it can make people tired enough. The scenery of the mountain section is good, the color of the vegetation on the hillside is varied, and there are beautiful rivers and canyons. This section of the road is desolate, so it is safer for many people to walk together.

Shilu is the county seat of Changjiang, about 6 kilometers east of the national highway. This small county is very clean and tidy, and it will feel very different from the town on the road ahead. From Changjiang to Danzhou, it is still a mountain road, with more than a dozen consecutive uphill and downhill slopes. The physical consumption is relatively large, but it is slightly better than the trip of the previous day. Danzhou is one of the few cities in the western line. The urban area is not small, but the bustling streets are only a short section.

shinjuku: lunch is still in a roadside town. On the seventh day, you can stay at Changjiang Hotel, and the hotel opposite the bus station is in good condition. On the eighth day, you can go to the postal hotel in Danzhou.

D9 Danzhou-Fushan-Haikou (13km)

After Danzhou, the terrain gradually becomes flat, all the way to Linyin Avenue.

Danzhou-Heshe-Duowen-Fushan, the Linyin Avenue all the way, is very comfortable to ride. After Fushan, as the distance from Haikou approaches, there are more houses on the roadside. The section from Bailian to Haikou feels like it is in the suburbs of the city, and no longer sees the scenery of the fields.

Note:

1. It is all along the coast, and the environment is very humid. Especially at night, if you stop for an hour or two, there will be a small layer of water mist on bicycles and equipment, and clothes will only get wetter and wetter when they are hung outdoors.

2. Don't drive at night. There are no street lamps on the road, which is dangerous to walk at night.

3. Start early and ride more while it is cool in the morning. From 12: to 14: 3 noon, it is best to stop and rest during the period when the solar radiation is strongest, otherwise it is easy to get sunburned.

4. National highways often pass through the suburbs instead of the urban areas. Pay attention to the road signs at the intersection and don't go in the wrong direction.

Hainan cycling equipment:

1. Helmets, gloves and cycling shorts are essential basic equipment;

2. A slightly thicker coat, sandals, swimming trunks and sunglasses;

3. Air pump, simple car repair tools, sunscreen, car lights or headlights;

4. Exposed or equipped with double-decker tents, thin or fleece sleeping bags, moisture-proof mats and inflatable pillows;
